FORWARD

The following will be excerpts from the first letter written by Annalee to one of her friends, September 10, 1949, after a period of silence of approximately three years.

My darling,

I must get in touch with you at once.  It is most urgent.  I  have been instructed to gather up my loved ones, that now is the time for them to be gathered into this great and marvelous work:  The great unspeakable blessings that the Lord had for me have been poured out without measure—.  It will take volumes to tell you all, but first I must locate you.

This book (volume I of Ye Are Gods – a smaller volume) has gone forth like a fflame of glory to the honest and true in every country.  Now has come forth volume II of YE ARE GODS.·  It is like nothing else ever written.  For months the very light of it would almost blind me if I so much as turned my thought toward it.  I was positive that I could never write it.  I doubted if any human being could.   It contains the laws of the Millennial Day,  and is breathtaking in its glory.  Then one morning about seven weeks ago I was awakened early and commanded to get up and write it.  And though I had been so positive I could never write it, the words and the scripture flowed through my mind like light and almost seemed to place themselves upon the pages in a rhythm of living glory, and I watered it with my tears.  The veil rolled back and I stood an the brink of eternity with one foot lifted ready to step through, while the past, the present and the future blended in a panorama of glory that was beyond anything my mind had before dreamed of.

As I stood with one foot lifted, ready to step across, I was told that I was to wait and gather up my loved ones.   And though I have been in contact with none of my friends or loved ones for a period of nearly two years, yet in most miraculous ways those I love have been getting in contact with me.  The threads of love are reaching across the years and the miles—and Reason and I in breathtaking wonder exclaim continually, “Oh, it is so beautiful!  And it is:  Only now we know and understand what it is all about, and our hearts are a continual melody of love and light.  For it is like nothing else on earth.

I wanted so bad to take you with me but that became impossible as you became too engrossed in gathering your red glass beads.

I have never felt so humble in my life, nor so filled with love –and with my SOUL filled with the vision of light I say, if you are interested, let me share these things with you.

PERSONAL GLIMPSES

Before I came to Buffalo, oh, a year or so before, I used to look at my books and know that I was going to leave, and that I would not be able to take them with me, and that anything I wanted out of them I would have to get into my mind and being. And now I know that shortly every book and record I have in my possession will be left behind, that whatever I take with me must be carried in the cells of my mind and my body.  It sort of gives one that famished feeling which bears get late in the autumn before they hibernate.   They are never ravenous when they come out in the Spring, but as they seek to store food for the winter ahead.  Well, that is me at the present time.  I am almost trying to memorize every important passage of scripture we posses–and as one advances along this highway, they each become more and more important.  I have to enlarge my capacity to consume and to digest mentally and spiritually every needed morsel for the future–and then I know that the Holy Spirit will bring it forth when I need it.

It is all so wonderful. I am so filled with joy and gladness and rejoicing that it seems that the whole universe is becoming a melody of light and glory, and as though my own love was lifting me out into it.  How great God has been to us to give us blessings so great.

Thanksgiving (1951) Reason and I sat down as soon as we got out of bed and each began writing down the list of our deepest gratitudes.  After we had each finished two full pages we compared them and they were almost identical, just worded differently.

And now before I go running away with all this singing joy in my soul I want to tell you something that you might be interested in.  Remember our first attempted Christmas gift, and how far it fell short? Then last year I offered as my sift this singing song of ecstasy, promising never to lose it for a minute if possible. It has been such a source of strength to me, and has seemed to open the very windows of heaven during this last year.   There were moments when I did not live up to it–but never more than an hour at a time did there come even a shadow of a vibration over me that was not pure glory–and then it was a wane little flickering fear as to what the authorities would do when this new book is released, for it is tremendous and the impact of it will truly be like an arrow, violently shot from a bow, as the writer of the Odes of Solomon described it.  But even the great responsibility of gains beyond the orthodox teachings can no longer send the tiniest breath of a shadow across my mind now–and it seems that life has become glorified in pure light.

I used to grieve over the responsibility of this work for I felt so sure that if the authorities could not see or accept it then it was I who had been led astray.  And I felt that if I had failed, or been deceived I would be willing to crawl across this entire continent on my hands and knees to seek forgiveness and to try and undo what I had sent forth in that first small work.  I would kneel for hours pleading with the lord to let me know wherein I had erred, or failed.  Then came the answer and I could never again doubt, nor be dismayed or concerned, for if I had it would have been the unpardonable sin.

I was asked, “Annalee, is it wickedness to believe in the words that Christ taught, The Sermon the Mount, the mercy and power of being able to forgive evil, the great two commandments, the perfecting of love, the vision of perfection?  Are these things truth or error?  And what is the price you are willing to pay for TRUTH?  Can you give up conformity for it?  Can you stand alone against the world for it?”  And I knew that even my soul would be a small price to pay for Truth.  And it no longer mattered who believed and who didn’t.

I am standing quite breathless upon the threshold of the New Year–for it is the year of fulfillment (1952).  Continually more and more marvelous things are happening.  And more and more people are coming to us, asking what it is we have, most of them perfect strangers. A woman came Friday to the house, saying she felt that she just had to talk to me for when I passed her it was like being surrounded with music and light.  Imagine?

If only I could just send you my letter files and let you read the miraculous things which are recorded in them–letters from people on the verge of suicide, those given up by doctors, those so hopeless and in such despair they desire only to die, and then these books came into their hands, and as they begin to apply these higher teachings the darkness lifts and their letters  become a melody of living light and glory.  It is a miracle end a wonder continually, the power of this Light as it begins to grow in the hearts and souls of men.

Remember the time my hand was burned so terribly on the electric iron, and how it was healed in one night–and the time I told you about. when I had made up my mind to enjoy my sinus—and the result?   Well all it was just contacting this super-consciousness, or this great Spiritual force of Light and power. Now I know lust how to do it, and just what it is.  And when one learns to abide in that light, they are truly abiding in god and He is abiding in them, and there is nothing that can hurt thee. Pain becomes a thing that can no longer exist for that person. Can you understand? Please try hard. Not with a great tenseness, but with a relaxed stillness of inner joy. This great power has always been with us. It is ours.  It always has been.

You mentioned that sacred symbol of seven.  Seven has always had a special place in my life.  I was born on the seventh day of the seventh month.  I was the seventh child in my family—and have seven letters in my name.  From the time I was a little girl I have always felt that there was a definite meaning behind those sevens.  And especially in this seventh year of never ending struggle to fulfill the teachings as they were unfolded.

I went out into the hills and pleaded with God to let me understand His Will and was told that if Reason and I would marry and live the law of chastity for a year we would receive the love that passeth understanding.   It was just a year later that this work was placed in our laps–this great work that purifies and perfects love–love so divine, so glorious and so eternal it can heal a world, and melt the stones.  Yes, we did receive that love, and the law of chastity has become a part of our lives.  How good God has been to us.  That first year we spent much of our nights on our knees and in tears, so great was our love for each other, but for God, for the world, for all mankind; and the promise has been fulfilled beyond anything I could possibly have dreamed of at the time it was given.

We have traveled such a long ways since that winter of intense training.  I don’t think either my mind or my soul has ever let go for one instant since this was placed so definitely in our hands.  It has been something so real that I have never been able to let go of it.  It has been there every waking moment–a living, growing challenge.   It has been so much bigger than I, so far beyond my feebleness and inability to comprehend and cope with in times past, but a thing that had to be lived and proved and made into tangible reality.   I  stand with my head bowed and such a feeling of reverence and awe in my soul that only tears can express.

Reason, bless his dear heart, it wasn’t until he came back here the last time and mortgaged his life for several years ahead to have this work published that it became a part of him also.  It would come and go in his life, but it was never a steady thing until he gave of himself–and for these last four years he too has held to it without ever wavering for a moment.   He has been wonderful! The light-mindedness has been so far left behind that it is almost impossible to recall those moments.  His true sense of humor,  his  joy  in existence has  increased.   His depth of understanding and his love are so much a part of him that never an instant are they lacking.  He has learned to stand like a rock, firm and true, and a joy to work with.  These great truths bring out the great strength of  one’s soul and it is truly as though they were a new creature.  Once or twice I tried to tell you that I could look beyond the outside and look into Reason’s soul, and it was so wonderful.  He has completely fulfilled every expectation and has practically turned himself inside out for now the outside is like I know the inside to be.   One has but to look at him to feel that they are viewing the realm beyond the pearly gates is peace and quiet and power and goodness and infinite love. We have never taken much time to enjoy each other. We have both been so absorbed in comprehending and fulfilling these laws, in training our minds and soul to glorify God, but I feel that he was called and ordained to help establish this work. it has been such a great joy to travel together.  It had to be this way.

In Reason’s blessing he was told that he had chosen me to be his mate in the pre-existence–and that during the millennium we would have a family.  The time is so close.  This little while ahead will soon end.  Yes, Reason has been the most wonderful partner in this work. He has sacrificed and labored and taken odd jobs on the side and drudged to put this work out and never in these four and one half years has he ever complained.  In the beginning we often went hungry to meet the payment and he loved
it.  It seemed like the tougher it got the more he rejoiced in it.  Months during the coldest parts of the winter he would walk the two or three miles to work because he didn’t have bus fare.  He has been like a Superman from the moment he finally got a good hold upon this work. He has been magnificent.

When he was a boy, Reason used to study the promises made in Revelations. They opened his heart and started him searching for truth and light and caused him to walk out of the Presbyterian Church when he was only 16 years old–sent him around the world and brought us together when he was prepared to fulfill these higher laws.

I know exactly how you feel about meeting with those who have no understanding of this great light and whose lives are empty and meaningless.  One of the great teachers taught, “one cannot reach the heights if he carries an excess burden of many acquaintances.” These who do not see and understand must be left behind, since it is impossible to take them with us at the present time–but always there is the prayer in my heart that we might later go back and gather them up–at least those who desire to come with us.

For many years I have separated myself from those who do not speak my language.  Reason, bless his heart, did not understand that at first.  He wanted me to mix with his friends, to visit much and often with his folks. It was an utter waste of time. Before too long he began to understand. The only meeting ground at that time was for me to step down to their frivolous level of thinking for if I had tried for even one moment to  lift them to mine, they would have resented it terribly.  So our visits were rare, short and filled with love. Now they are beginning to come to us and ask what it is we have that they haven’t got.  We finally gave them copies of these books and they have not only studied them, but have passed them out to their friends.  Lately there have been so many outsiders who have come to us to teach them.

Yes, I am afraid that those who step out into this Light are resented by all who cannot see it. We cannot possibly take those with us who will not come.  And though I stood alone to give my life with my whole family bowing their heads in my shame, as they would consider it, yet I would have to go on.  And who knows but by our going on we may be able to take them all with us before it is finished.

Before long these great truths will fully come to light.  I have been studying about them since I was a child.  When in high school I used to refuse to go on dates and picnics so I could stay home and curl up on my bed and study the ancient records of the Old Testament–the genealogies–the time schedules–the movements of people and the background of the world.  I have stood before it in awed breathlessness–and have always felt that someday the full knowledge would be revealed.

What a glorious world we live upon. How marvelous it is. And what a great privilege it is to be able to belong to it.  I’ve always rejoiced that I was permitted to come to Earth instead of some other planet.

You tell me how one of your loved ones warned you against this work and I find myself smiling softly.   Not too long before my mother died she gave me a terrifying warning.  She had never been a coward in her life, never ran from issues and was one of the most courageous women I have ever known, therefore her advice was even doubly startling, for she said, “Annalee, don’t do one thing more for righteousness than you have to, nor do any more in the church than necessary to keep in good standing, for if you do more, all the powers of Hades will rise up to destroy and fight you!”  My mouth  just dropped open and I stood looking at her utterly speechless.  And I thought, “What a funny thing to tell me.  I was put here to fight darkness and those forces of Hades.  I was never meant to be a pacifist.  I must give my life, if necessary, to help overcome those very forces.”  I never expressed my thought aloud.  But now I know how very right she was–and yet how right I was.

I was run over by a load of hay in childhood and it was almost impossible for me to carry a child–I lost two at birth and then managed to have two by caesarean operation.  My youngest daughter came to me just as you saw those two boys.  She spent a day with me before she was conceived, asking me to receive her.  She is the one who had such a difficult time to live, and is so perfect now that she has had two children almost without pain.  She is truly a miracle and a wonder.  I wrote to her recently and thanked her for coming to me.  Her letter came back a couple of days ago saying, “Mother, you thanked me for coming to you, and all I could do was think, “I wonder what I ever did in heaven that God gave the greatest privilege to me of choosing you to be my mother.’  She is a wonderful girl.

I loved the Gospel always more than any of the others (in my father’s family) but the gospel means to me the ability to follow the Lord in all things, even to the giving of my life.  When I found that these great truths were not accepted by those in authority, I could scarcely believe it.  But as you, I know that I had to hold to truth, to follow Light though I paid with my life, and though I stood alone against the whole world–and for a long while Reason and I seemed to be standing alone.  I used to go to the Temple in Logan, and after the lights were out, kneel upon the snow and plead to God for the strength and courage to go on.  I would pray for hours while my tears would freeze into little icicles.   I wasn’t sure but what I would be cut off from the Church–the Church that I had spent every ounce of energy in my life to help build up, years of teaching, seven years of missionary work, for I had made forty converts to the Gospel of Jesus Christ- -but before that winter was over I could have enjoyed being burned at the stake, being stoned to death would have been a privilege, marching to the gallows a highway of divine glory–such was the strength that came–and even if my soul was required to pay the price of Truth, complete Truth, then I would pay that price.

Now about genealogy–how shall I answer that?  I think it is quite possible to have those from the other side come and visit us–but often in so doing, we are interrupting their work–I think it would he best to follow the admonition of Christ when He said, “If you desire anything, ask the Father in MY NAME and He will give it to you.” If you ask the Father in the NAME of His Beloved Son to open the way for you to get your genealogy, it will be given to you in His way. That will be much more satisfactory. I prayed ten years for mine and with endless searching and prayers I was almost convinced that He did not hear my prayers–and then I was set apart for the junior genealogy work to help get it started in Los Angeles–and in the whole Church.  I was told in the blessing the things I had been praying for.  I was told that the Lord always heard my prayers–and I was promised that the way would be opened for my records to be given to me.  A great grandmother, a woman whom I had never even heard of came to me in the Los Angeles library–and from that contact I was able to gather five thousand names.  Her name was Constance Heuser, from Switzerland.  I wrote to my mother and asked her if she had ever heard father speak of a Constance Heuser while he was alive.  My mother wrote back a Letter drenched with tears.  “Yes” she said. “Constance Heuser was your father’s grandmother.  She came to me over forty years ago, with a great multitude of people, and begged me to do something for them.   She was a vivid little blackeyed woman with the sweetest face.”  Imagine how I felt.  It was the same person who came to me.  I learned to read those German records in the Los Angeles library. I got nine complete generations back through it.  Later when I wanted to recheck, I was told that they never had that book in the Los Angeles Library–that they had tried to get it, but it was no longer in print.  I had held that book in my hands.  I worked with it for a whole day–and wonder of wonders I wrote down every reference it quoted.

Yesterday you were on my mind all day, it was as though you were calling me.   I wanted to write, hut there was not time—so first thing this morning I am contacting you.   The only joy in warmth and happiness is being able to share it with those we love. The joy of this work is so much more real to Us than the ground upon which we stand, or the things that mortals are conscious of, that language rather fails us in trying to share it unless those receiving can open wide their hearts and minds, and souls and let this light pour in.

Do you see how utterly impossible it would be to have all this great light and have no one with whom to share it–no one to travel this divine Highway of Light with? Just knowing you understand and are living by these higher laws is the greatest reward I could possibly ask. Your happiness is my happiness. Your joy is my joy. Your blessings are my blessings.

Hasn’t the Lord been good to us?  I feel as though I were talking in utter glory, almost with breath utterly suspended, so brilliant has the Light become and so glorious.  Yes, this great Light is the Light that will make us free, or the great Truth. And it is only in this way and by developing this Light that it is possible to KNOW God and Jesus Christ whom he has sent–and truly THIS IS LLFE.

Remember some time ago I was told that when we could hold ourselves in this Light for seven days this work would be completed as far as we are concerned.  This practice of sending out this Light is the greatest preparation possible. We have sought to fill our beings with it–now, that it might be brought forth fully we must begin to send it forth.  This is the most important thing I have ever written upon this subject.  This is not in the book—this your step now, and it is to prepare for that which is to come.  It will wipe out prejudice, bitterness, opposition.  It will destroy confusion and discord.  It is the power of the Almighty beginning to swing into action as you send it forth.

And now, dearest one, how can I share with you these things that were too sacred to be written?  The road of life has become such an absolute glory of  living.   Every breath is a divine privilege–and every thought is a power.  It seems that I am so filled with joy and gladness and praise and thanksgivinq that there is no room for anything else in this letter written right out of my soul, filled with love and tenderness for you and yours.

I love you.  I love those you love, and my prayers are with you constantly. And know fully that your names were written long ago to receive this fullness of Light–that on the slips of paper contained in the drinking glass shown, your names were waiting. Just know–and reach continually into the light with a song of confidence. May this fulfill the promise made to you that winter- -that it would become easy.  It is all so simple in its dynamic, breathtaking magnitude of eternal glory.

My loved ones are being given the privilege of accepting this work  in fulfillment of the promise of the Lord, that my leaving and marrying Reason would prove to be for His glory and a blessing to all concerned–and those who were concerned were those I loved and those who had loved me.

Oh, if we had only know then what we know now.  Then I realize that looking back is not the right thing–and so in looking ahead I reach out my arms filled with joy and sunlight and say, “Let me share these things with you, and come and walk with me forever in light.  There is nothing else like it in all existence.”
YOU SHALL COMPREHEND EVEN GOD

The only joy, the only complete happiness, the only power and glory that can be poured out like jewels of glorious perfection upon the heads of mankind is the understanding of their own importance, and their connection with their source, as the vine with the branch.  And then as the plant continues to grow the branch also becomes the vine, and branches grow out from it.

It is all in our hands. We have to buy the gold tried in the fire.  Not with money, but with our eyes open to know that it is there for us, but we have to do the buying.  We have to live the life and perfect ourselves and abide the higher laws even as Jesus Christ did.  We have to stop worshipping Him from a distance, and saying we believe in Him, yet do not follow Him.

We are literally and actually a race of Gods wallowing in deep mud while the Light is all around us, but we fail to see it.  The Light has always been there.  It is more real by far than the mud, yet we have clung to the mud, we have mixed it ourselves as we have determinedly kept our minds on the mortal concept of existence.

The glorious. living vibrating Spirit of God fills all space, surrounds all substance, sustains all matter, penetrates all material. It is only as we become aware of it, or in tune with it that we can consciously contact it at all times. As you begin to understand this great force, or power of tender, compassionate loving warmth of living, flowing life that enfolds you, you will soon become aware that it is also within you—and thus it is true, “That in Him we live and move and have our being.” otherwise we could not abound, or exist. This enfolding Spirit of God knows all things, comprehends all things, and as we learn to draw it more and more into our beings with awareness or consciousness of it we are always in direct contact with God. We walk with Him. We abide in Him, and He abides in us.

These are deep things I am trying to share with you—they are way beyond the ordinary thoughts of man to question or ponder. Go directly to God for your information.  That is done by learning to contact this Holy Spirit of God, and learning to listen to the knowledge of truth as it is brought forth to you.  This is the Atonement, or At-one-ment that Christ dies to give us—that we could be one with the Light, and thus ONE WITH CHRIST THE FATHER.

Do not think for one moment that Heavenly Father has forgotten you, or has turned from you.  If you do, then you shut yourself out from His presence.  His Spirit enfolds you. it is the essence out of which all things are composed–it is the very vibration of light and life and love that brought all things into existence, and if it were not always surrounding us. and in and through us we could not possibly exist.  Learn to know of its presence and its power and become one with it — then it will be subject to you and you can use it to create with, to heal the flesh of others, to bring to pass the greater works as promised by the Lord.

The veil that we must rend is this very veil that seals our minds on this physical or mortal plane.  It is the veil that lifts us into the Superconscious mind,  or into the great Mind of the Spirit of Almighty GOD.   that loving,   flowing,   enfolding, protective,  directing force of our Father, in which we live and move and have our being.  No one can rend that veil for us.  We have to do it.  If we are children of God, then we must do the things that He has done,  even as Christ did.  It is all ours to accomplish. He is the One who gives the blessings, but we are the ones who have to prepare ourselves to receive them. Note Col. 3:4 from the Emphatic Diaglott translation:  “When the anointed may appear, the life of us, then also you with Him shall appear in glory.”

Acts 14:22  “—THROUGH MANY AFFLICTIONS ARE WE TO ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD.”  That is true— but we can enter the kingdom of God through these many afflictions and get nowhere at all, for life is afflictions when lived on this mortal plane.   Surely every little desire of earth is a bleakness of the lone and dreary world. And it is only when we can catch the higher vision and know that it is not necessary to plod out our lives in darkness, and again attain unto the Spiritual realm of living and thinking that we can enter again into the Kingdom of Heaven, and when we do we will know that it is right within us—and when we rend the veil we will see and think and work with the Superconscious or God mind.

The Spirit of God enfolds you completely.   It is in and through all things.  It is light, it is intelligence, it is power and glory.  It abides in you, but withdraws from your consciousness under discord, fears and worries, and leaves you groping in darkness without its light and guidance. The least confusion, the least inharmonious thought banishes it from us.  But as we become more and more conscious of its nearness and power, its gentleness and love, we can draw it to us and send it out multiplied to bless and heal and enlighten a world.  It is ours to use always.  It truly is the greatest and yet the servant of all.  It is the most glorious gift, and we are heirs to it. Note D&C 11:18 where Hyrum Smith was admonished to “appeal unto my Spirit.”

This great Spirit of God that composes all substance, that fills all space, that is in and through all things is truly everywhere.  It is light!  It is power!  It is joy!  It is glory and peace and happiness!  And there is no place where this great eternal Spirit of God is not, except in man’s consciousness.  When we can open our minds and hearts to understand, and our souls to receive we shall receive it in its fullness, and we shall be truly filled with light and comprehend all things.  It has always been there waiting for us to take hold of it.

In the early History of the church by Joseph Smith, volume lI pages 195-196 is given the following admonition to the original apostles as they were set apart by Joseph Smith and his counselors, ‘Never cease striving until you have seen God.  Your ordination is not complete till God has laid His hand upon you.”  This is the promise of the second Comforter.   It is when one’s calling and election is made sure.  It is when one receives the “fullness of the Father” as promised in D&C sec. 93.  It is the open promise to every individual who will only believe and who will  seek Him diligently and seek Him early.  For everyone who seeketh findeth- -and to him who knocketh the very doors of heaven will be opened.

This is the very promise given in the D&C 50:24-29, to those who have cast out all darkness and are ORDAINED OF GOD–that all things should be forever more subject unto them, both in heaven and on earth—.  And these promises are for this life.  we have lived under the preparatory Gospel, as explained so minutely in D&C 84- 22-7.

You ask about the scripture in the Book of Mormon concerning Christ and the Father being one, or Christ being the very Eternal Father of Heaven and earth.  It involves so very much that we have never been taught, and which is so far beyond anything we have been permitted to believe that unless one is fully prepared to receive such information it just completely floors us.

First let me say that scripture is true.  Every word of it. Read and pray for understanding of the scriptures (given at the end).

This  complete understanding can only he revealed to you as you are led to the Father by Christ, or that Spirit or Light of Christ, right within yourself, as given below:

“All that the Father giveth me shall come to me: and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out—.  And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which He hath given me I should  lose nothing.  But should raise it up again at the Last day.”  John 6:37,39

“No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him,  and  I  will  raise him up at the  last day.    (of his purification).  It is written in the prophets, and they shall all be taught of God.  Every man therefore that hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.”  John 6:44-5

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. And I give unto them eternal life: and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father which gave them to me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. And I and my Father are one.” John 10:27-30

“I am the Way, THE TRUTH AND THE LIGHT.  NO ONE COMETH TO THE FATHER, EXCEPT BY ME.”  John 14:6

“For you shall live by every word that proceedeth forth from the mouth of God.  For the word of the Lord is TRUTH, and whatsoever is truth is Light, and whatsoever is Light is Spirit, even the Spirit of Jesus Christ.—and everyone that hearkeneth to the voice of the Spirit cometh unto God, even the Father.  D&C 84:44-7

It is true that only this Light of Christ` within can reveal the Father.  It is as you are filled with this Light that it is possible to “COMPREHEND EVEN GOD”.  For it is truly a matter of comprehending, by being quickened in Him and by Him, and then it is not with the carnal, neither with the natural mind, but with the Spiritual (mind).  I stand so completely awed by the glory and the wonder of it, and I wonder how we could have possibly ignored the numerous passages of scripture and been so far astray.

In the D&C 112:25-6, in speaking of the destructions, it states:  “And upon my house shall it begin, and from my house shall it go forth, saith the Lord; First among those among you, saith the Lord, who have professed to know my Name and have not known me, and have blasphemed against me in the midst of my house, saith the Lord.’  These words mean so much more than anyone realizes.

And now listen carefully to the following: “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is a fullness of joy: at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”  Psalms 16:11

“And I John bear record that he received a fullness of the glory of the Father; and He received all power, both in heaven and on earth, and the glory of the Father was with Him, for He dwelt in Him. — I give  unto  you  these  sayings  that  you  may  understand  and know how to worship, and know what you worship, that you may come unto the Father in my name and in due time receive of His fullness. For if you keep my commandments you shall receive of His fullness, and be glorified in me as I am in the Father.”  D&C 93:16-17, 19- 20   And the same pattern is ours to fulfill according to D&C 50:24-29.

I’m enclosing a list of scriptures for you to study.  (listed separately)  As you study them remember that it is not I who spoke these things, but they were given under the power and inspiration of Almighty God.  And so it is up to you to pray about these things until you find that knowledge–for from here on no one can take you.  This is the point where you  have  to be led to the Father through that Light of Christ within your own soul, that you might comprehend even God.  It takes a tremendous amount of courage, for few can stand the test of KNOWING God.

These great dynamic truths that have been hidden from our eyes because of the traditions of our fathers are so breathtaking in their glory when one begins to open his soul and mind to hear and comprehend.  We have become so sealed that we want to prove only those things we have been taught,—and these seals must be broken. In searching for the great truth, the truth that will make us free, it is almost necessary to forget all we have been taught, and go direct to the original source of all truth–first the scriptures-
-all of them–and then to God Himself.  This is the only possible way to KNOW Him.

In the book, “Ye are Gods” this subject is not discussed, for I know that only Christ can reveal the father to you–that I do not have the power–but I can help you unseal yourself so that Christ can reveal all the magnificent wonder of truths that have been lost from the beginning of the Catholic Church,  and have not been revealed because of the hardness of our hearts.  And when you receive this knowledge you will know what Joseph Smith meant when he gave out the following:  “Would to God brethren, I could tell you who I am. Would to God I could tell you what I know, but you would call it blasphemy and want to take my life.”

As soon as you can set yourself completely unsealed so that you can lift your heart to God in pure worship, desiring only to comprehend Him, no matter how different He seems to be from what you have been taught to believe, then you will be prepared to KNOW God.  You have asked for the greatest knowledge ever given to man when at last your eyes beheld those passages in the Book of Mormon, and you desired to know their meaning.

If this is upsetting and painful to you, which it will be, I can only whisper, “Just have courage, and give God a chance to reveal Himself in all his unspeakable glory as Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient.”  These three words alone can possibly describe God, plus the information in the D&C 88:47 that anyone who has beheld any of the least of His creations, or the stars or the firmament, has beheld God moving in His majesty and glory.  He is so far beyond anything that we have been taught that it is overwhelming.  “But few can stand the test of actually knowing god.”  Eventually His Spirit will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea–and a knowledge of God–and the power of God will be contained in it.

Now about the two seemingly contradictory statements you mentioned: They are both so true and so perfect. “There are none who can come to Christ except the Father draw them’, and ‘It is through the Christ that the Father is revealed”.  No one can find that Christ Light within except the Father draws them to it, first through sensing it does exist, then gradually unfolding to one its definite reality, and giving them the power and faith to develop it and bring it forth.  So it is definitely the mercy and love and goodness of the father that draws one to this Light and perfects this contact and fulfills the KNOWING.  And then it is stated so definitely in the scripture that, Christ is the DOOR.   He, or this Light of Christ within us is definitely the door,  which we ourselves must open, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock, if any hear my voice, AND OPEN THE DOOR, I will come in and feast with  him, and he with me.”  When we open that door we also open the door into the fold, as He so beautifully taught in parable, we again enter into the realm of the Kingdom of Heaven–and the Father will be revealed to us.   For it is only through following this Light within that we can possibly be prepared to comprehend even God.

Thus He does abide in us.  And we abide in Him as we learn to live in this consciousness,  or awareness of this  inner Light turning to it in every thought, rejoicing in it; and this is truly “walking with Him” as did Enoch Of Old, and all the noble and great ones.  They walked always in a conscious, minute awareness of this divine Light within them–following its instructions, speaking as it directed, and permitting it to shine forth.  It is all a state of awareness. This awareness is the contact, and it is power, as one develops the faith to understand.

It is time that you must step from the period of fears and darkness into this conscious awareness, or as given so many times in the scriptures, “Overcome by Faith”.  And who overcome by faith, and are sealed by the Holy Spirit of Promise, which the Father sheds forth upon all those who are just and true. D&C 76:53 This Holy Spirit first promises these great and glorious things, as you overcome the doubts and fears within you then comes the fulfilling of these divine promises.  NOTHING IS IMPOSSlBLE.  “ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM WHO BELIEVES.” Do you believe  this? If you don’t believe it, why not?  Did God lie?  is He incapable of fulfilling His promise? Or is it that it just does not apply to you?  Do you believe that all things will be  subject unto you if you cast darkness out of your mind and soul and heart, even all things that are in heaven and on earth, the light and the life, the Spirit and the power of Almighty God? If you don’t believe this, why don’t you?  Was it given of God?  Did He mean it?  Can He fulfill it?  Does it apply to you?  If you know that God did not lie then you must realize that it is up to you to fulfill it.

And now I am going to share something with you that is going to take all the faith and power you possess in order to accept, because we have been so sealed against this scripture, and clothed in the traditions of the fathers. Joseph Smith taught many things about God before he received the full information–.  This higher knowledge, the information which will come in the record of John when it is revealed, and which I could not write into this book, is revealed all through scripture if we would only open our eyes to see, and our souls to understand and seek through this divine Light within us to comprehend.  So, if what I include from here sounds like blasphemy, then please in all the love and humility of your heart go to God, and continue to pray until you know for yourself, and are given the power to comprehend even God, for when you do comprehend Him it will be neither with the carnal nor the natural mind, but with the spiritual (mind).

John 6:56  “He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood dwelleth in me, and I in him.”  This flesh is the ‘hidden manna” mentioned, and means this spiritual contact.  The drinking of His blood means to partake of the Spirit of Life freely, or receive that constant lifegiving force so that from his heart may flow fountains of living waters.  For as He Himself states at the end of the chapter, My flesh profiteth nothing, but what I tell you is spirit (and has a spiritual meaning).

(Greek New Testament:   Emphatic Diaglott)   John 14:23 “Answered Jesus and said to him: If anyone love me, the word of me he will keep–and the Father of me will love him, and to him we will come and a dwelling with him we will make.” Keep in mind this word dwelling, then notice in the same translation at the beginning of chapter 14 it states, “In my Father’s house are dwellings many.” We are his dwellings. “The elements are the tabernacle of God–yea, man is the tabernacle of God, even temples.” D&C 93:35

‘No man hath seen God at any time.  If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and His love is perfected in us.  Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him and he in God.  And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”   I John 4:12, 15-16

‘That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith that ye be rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length and depth, and height (which is to comprehend all things)  And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with the fullness of God.”  Eph. 3:17-19

‘Abide in me, and I in you.  As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine: no more can ye, except ye abide in me.  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.  If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.  If ye abide in me and my words abide in you ye shall ask what ye will and it shall be done unto you.”  John 15

God is in the midst, or very center of all things. He is the life in all living things, the intelligence in the atoms, the love in the hearts, the power in the souls, the desires of righteousness reaching out for expression and fulfillment. Or, as the scriptures state, He is all, and in all.  This is why Carver could talk to the flowers, and their intelligence could be contacted by that same intelligence which he had developed within his own soul.  This is how God spoke to Moses out of the MlDST of the burning bush–“for HE IS IH THE MIDST OF ALL THINGS.”

“It is no longer I who lives, but Christ who lives in me” Gal.2:20

If you can possibly take hold of this knowledge then you will understand how you become the greatest. though you have been the least, how the little mortal self steps aside, and this great magnificent power and intelligence of God takes over–you will have all things subject  unto you, both in heaven and on earth, the light and the life–the spirit and the power.

And if that which has all power, and all knowledge, and even the power to quicken all life, and contains the very record of heaven, then you will know that it would have to be God–and again, only such a great God could possibly be Omnipresent (everywhere present), Omnipotent (all powerful) and Omniscient (all knowing).  We have belittled God and made him in our image.  We are in His image, for we are made of Him: and in Him we live and move and have our being, and in us He lives and moves and has His being.

I can understand what a great shock this is to you.  It took me many months to comprehend it after it had been revealed to me. I just wasn’t large enough to encompass such knowledge. I used to curl up on Reason’s lap and drench him in tears, for I comprehended with my physical mind, to some degree, but my spiritual mind had not yet received its great illumination.

But in order to receive that great illumination so that you can truly behold the face of God, you have to be prepared mentally. Then you will behold the face of the true and living god in all existing things–in every man–in every plant–in every atom. And you come home, like the prodigal son, and know that you too belong, and that He is nearer to you than hands and feet, you can whisper and he can hear and will answer–and you know that this all wise all loving, glorious Father is Spirit–and that you too are spirit–and you will receive of His fullness–or be completely filled with His glory and with Him, and your forehead shall receive its seal–and all power will be yours.

We have been travelling in the worm-consciousness–But we are Gods, as we step forth into the majesty end greatness for which God created us, instruments to manifest Him His body is the universe–ours just in exact replica, possesses all that He possesses—His powers, His intelligence, His destiny. “Ye are Gods” as you begin to manifest God–for it is the Father within who doeth the works. and so within you is that divine spark of your great sire–He is your God–and my God is the same God as He is manifest and brought forth within me–This is what Christ tried so hard to teach, hut it has been so terribly corrupted and its truths lost.

What about Joseph Smith’s vision and the very foundation of Mormonism? Ask yourself about that.  Pray about it, and you will know that God appears in the form of men. Moses represented God- -or was God to the Egyptians. Christ was God, for He manifest God in His life and works–you too can become THAT, as you develop the faith to accept it.  This is the knowledge contained in the Book of John that is to come forth. I ask that you study the scripture upon the subject–that you open your mind, that you pray about it–and prepare yourself for the great illumination when you will behold the face of God, yea, behold His face in all things, for He is all, and in all–“For He is in all things, and through all things, and around about all things and in the mist of all things.”  No truer words were ever given to man.

I have never thought that I could write these things, but to a few I have been given the permission to share them, for time for us has almost run out and we must be prepared for our ordination to become even the greatest, and to be clothed in light, and to be prepared in power.  I ask that you guard these things well, for to any who are not prepared to receive them they will sound like blasphemy, and they may desire to take your life.

If this blinds you, if it is most painful for you, if it distresses you I can truly understand, for this was the greatest test of my life, and so painful as I struggled to open myself to comprehend truth, no matter how I had to whittle down my pre-conceived ideas, or add to my orthodox beliefs.  I finally fasted, and pleaded with God to open wide my soul to comprehend, that it made no difference to me what He was–but I had sought Him diligently and I had to know what He was, regardless of what it did to me.  And then everything my fingers touched, everything my mind contemplated, everything that came before my eyes began to bear witness of God–and I knew how He would be mindful of the sparrow’s fall, and understood those deep, glorious teachings of Christ–“The Father within, He doeth the works.”  The Father within you is the only one who can place this divine crown upon your head–and you have to believe and step forth into FAITH and then actual KNOWING–and then POWER.

You say that you would give anything on earth to be able to step from fears and doubts into the light–It is a very simple thing–it is just a matter of worshipping and adoring, and praising and giving glory to God with every thought.   “And he who is thankful in all things shall be made glorious, and the things of this earth shall be added to him a hundred fold: yea more.”  Just give thanks constantly, if need be. This is the key of Light.  It is the eyes single to His glory which are required to eliminate the darkness that you might be filled with Light’ and comprehend all things–and have His face unveiled unto you–and that will be the receiving of His fullness–and you will truly behold the Face of God.  Oh, it is so beautiful!  Then you will know of His power, His love, His nearness–and you will become ONE with Him—Please, Dear. get ready for it speedily.  It is so necessary that you comprehend all things just as quickly as possible.

Now you understand how those who fight against this work will lose the Light which they have–or that contact with that inner Light of Christ–and can not possibly receive of this greater Light and knowledge.  And so we must continually send out more and more love as we worship, and adore and rejoice.

Now perhaps I can explain the relationship of Christ and the Father.  Christ means Light–and this great Light was the first begotten and only begotten of the father, the great wisdom and intelligence and love which created all things (out of this only begotten Light). Jesus, being the first mortal who never sinned against the Light. not even in one instance, even in the pre- existence, was chosen before the foundation of this world to make it manifest in this mortal life.  He was the One to show us the way and to make it apparent to all mankind how they could return to the Light and glorify it and the Father.  Then as He glorified God within Himself He brought forth that great eternal Principle of Love and Light until He became just That—the Father Principle of Creation, Love and intelligence, just as we can become IT. But it is not this little mortal self that will accomplish so great a work, for as Christ said, I of myself can do nothing. It is the Father (Principle) within who doeth the works–and this is the Greatest, and anyone who achieves unto this knowledge and brings forth this Light and Love becomes that very thing, and receives the ‘Fullness of the Father.”   Or is so filled with this Divine Principle of all-knowing, all-love, all-light, that he becomes That.  Thus there are Lords many and Gods many, but to each of us there is lust the One God–the Father within us, who does the works–and as “In Him we live and move and have our being.” so in us He lives and moves and has His being.  We are truly the dwelling place of the Most High, the tabernacle yea, the very Temples.  And as we learn to put our little mortal selves aside, we become That Principle of Light and glory and love and creation in manifest form, working out His will on whatever degree or level we attain unto.

Yes, there are Lords many and Gods many, but to us there is but one God, though everyone who begins to manifest the power of God, through bringing forth His Word in his flesh is truly a God.

You say, “If the Father is just a force–a power, etc.—who begot our spirits?”  We have been so trained in the corruption of this physical world that we believe that sex is the only method of producing.  Now notice from section 93:23 & 29 of D&C, “Ye were also in the beginning with the Father: that which is Spirit, even the Spirit of Truth–Man was also in the beginning- with God. Intelligence,  or the light of Truth was not created or made, neither indeed can be.’  As I understand it we were entities of light, which is intelligence, in the beginning, and by following the course of progress we gathered to us more and more light, for light cleaveth unto light–and finally we progressed until we were clothed in spirit form, which was a full consciousness of our light and life and love.

You ask, “Can a disembodied intelligence think and feel, and transmit knowledge?” How could it be intelligence or light without cleaving unto more light, and gaining more intelligence–if it does not continue to increase then it becomes a thing of darkness and is no longer intelligence.  Remember, and legions shall fly to fulfill your command? Legions of entities, or spirit intelligences of which all things are composed–the storms, the winds, the clouds, the elements. These are co-eternal with God, they are neither created nor made, neither indeed can be–and when you are ordained of God they become subject unto you.  Can you catch a glimpse of the breathtaking grandeur of that which I am trying so hard to share with you!  Love these things.  Love God with every breath, with every thought!   Love the Spirit of the Almighty in which you live and move and have your being!  Just love and adore and rejoice– and the power of love and joy and happiness, which is the power which forever eliminates  the darkness, will bring to you these greater forces of existence. and humbly they will obey your commands.

Don’t worry about an  unembodied God–It is this Light and Love and Infinite  Power of Omniscience,  or Omnipresence, of Omnipotence that has all the Intelligence, all the love, and the infinite understanding to accomplish such glory.  Just feel His love and His infinite Spirit enfold you.  Let it pour through you. Become ever more aware of His nearness through this Divine Holy Spirit which is yours to abide in Always.  Then love with every cell and fiber of your being, and let Him teach you of Himself–and then you can be taught that you and He are One.  Let all ideas of God be dropped from your mind end seek to comprehend the God Christ taught.   And know this, God is not only clothed in Spirit–He is Spirit, according to the scripture.  In our translation it states that He is “A” Spirit, but it states in the original that God is Spirit.  But so are we Spirit–and we will be consciously aware of that eternal aspect of ourselves when we can think in terms of Spirit instead of the terms of the physical. Contact that Light of Christ within, and it will reveal the Father so that you can comprehend.  Just keep your heart, mind and soul wide open and then you can truly be taught.   Just know that Jesus was an individual as you or I, but that the Christ is the Name of the Great Light Of which all of us were composed, and which Name we must again take upon ourselves, for it is the only Name given under heaven by which we can return–for it holds the knowledge of its own place and dignity and calling and substance and existence.

Let your heart be opened with love. Trust in that divine love in carrying you through every dismaying belief or condition in the full perfection of His glory.

Continue to study the scriptures upon the subject and pray to know.   “Seek Him diligently.”   “Seek Him early.”   And never be satisfied until you actually KNOW God.  Only by so doing can you glorify Him, and fill your own great destiny. As He is permitted to come forth and express through you, work through you, love through you, then you find that you are truly a vessel of the Lord.

The command to “Walk with Me”, is just a loving invitation to feel as though He were ever beside you, so close that He can answer before you speak.  He is that close, and when we awaken to the comprehension of that fact we will have truly returned to the Father’s house, for it is the whole human race who is the prodigal son–it is we who have gone astray into far countries and completely shut Him out of our lives.  Love and worship and adore as though He were with you every second of every day, and He will be that close, and you will feel His presence and His love and His power. There is one more thought I would like to leave with you.

It is in Job 12:7-10:   “But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee: or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee; and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee. Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the Lord hath wrought this!  In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.”

It was the flowers that talked to Carver.  But it seems that all nature and every living thing can speak when we open our ears to hear and our eyes to see.

You asked about that facsimile in the Book of the Pearl of Great Price.  There is so little that is translated.  It covers so very much more than has ever been given.  Even the parts that have been translated are given incompletely.

Figure 3, according to the translation–from the middle of the verse:   “Representing also the grand KEY WORDS of the Holy Priesthood as REVEALED TO ADAM IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN, AS ALSO TO SETH, NOAH, MELCHLZEDEK, ABRAHAM, and  ALL TO WHOM THE PRIESTHOOD WAS REVEALED. Adam received it in the Garden of Eden–But Seth had to have it revealed unto him–as did all the others who had the Priesthood REVEALED UNTO THEM.  –You’ll be surprised that the Priesthood is definitely something that must be REVEALED.  It is not just something that is bestowed–like an ordination of one man to another–BUT IS A POWER WHICH MUST BE REVEALED.

Now turn to the facsimile, with an open prayerful heart. Notice that Kolob is not the planet where God dwells–it is one of the planets nearest to the throne of God–then study the records concerning Him in the D&C.  How He is in the bosom of Eternity—IN THE MIDST OF ALL THINGS.  Then if you can comprehend that each individual is just a small universe, and for a moment forget that you are looking at the diagram of the history of a universe—but of man–at the center of his soul is the throne of Light–The Light of Christ–and how this light is sent out from the center to the various parts of his being to enlighten his heart, mind, and the cells of his being–and an outside encirclement of flesh.  When this is completely translated, it will reveal fully the contact or man with His Maker–the glory of this Light within–The power of THE KEYS OF THE PRIESTHOOD which is only that contact with  Almighty God, which is within every soul.

Now about how to pray–do not let that trouble you. Pray as you always have, only without trying to send it across space into infinitude.  Pray as the scriptures say “Feel Him”.  Learn to feel and comprehend that Light within you–love it, praise it, rejoice in it, and when you have brought it forth until it fills every cell and fiber of your being, and your mind, then  will you truly be born of the Spirit, and receive the Fullness of God, and He will be revealed unto you–and that Light within, having been brought forth to completion will become OWE with the great Light of Spirit which fills the universe.

This will he your ordination, your anointing of Light, your glorious experience of receiving the Fullness of God.  It is quite necessary that you begin to comprehend, since you have asked–therefore it is time for you to KNOW.   YOU must henceforth and forever take hold of the Light and glorify that Light.   Worship and praise and adore Him continually. Give thanks every moment of every day, if necessary, to eliminate the darkness. Thus will be given to you the power to cast out darkness, and be clothed in Light (Light of mind or comprehension).

No individual an this earth has the right to take the place of God in another man’s life.  No one has the right to assume the authority of interpreting the will of God to other men–for each must learn of his own birthright, and then truly he will need no man to teach him, for he will be taught of God, and will become One with his Maker, even God.  This is the work we must do here in order to connect up with the work that is being done over there. We must free our own minds–then with infinite love and Light teach mankind the dignity of his existence, and the power of his destiny, if he will only accept and fulfill it.

—You will know the Truth and the TRUTH WILL MAKE YOU FREE.  And your mind will never again be shackled to trust in the arm of flesh or in the opinion of men–but you will abide in the true Light, and thus fulfill the glorified promises, that you will need none to teach you,  ‘But they shall all he taught of God’.  This is the only road to Truth.  This work is only to tear the blindfold from men’s eyes, to let them know that it is possible for every individual on this earth to contact Him–to prepare them for the great revelation which will come when He reveals Himself to them individually.   Thus He becomes a most personal God to every individual, as we glorify Him.   And thus, we who are the very least, can become the greatest–even one with Him, and we too can finally declare, “The Father and I are One”.

I know that it does take time to absorb this information. It is so contrary to all we have been taught.   I have not written these things to disturb you, but to release you from the binding shackles of earth, that you might step forth in your own power and glorify God.   I suffered more over these same things than over anything else in my life.  It seemed utterly impossible for me to comprehend, for I had been steeped so deeply in the traditions of the fathers my mind had almost petrified upon the subject.

And now I have sent this information to you to prepare you for that which is to come.  I love you with such a tender, infinite love–I know how we are one–and I truly love you as my own soul–for you are just that.

Oh, it is so wonderful just to Know Him–to feel that you have returned to His house–and are again a part of the heavenly Household.  Live and think and act as though He were right beside you every instant of every day–this is fulfilling the command literally, “Walk with Me”.  This divine invitation belongs to you even as it did to Enoch and the great ones of old. The more you live  with  this thought, the more sure and perfect becomes the knowing.   It is glory and power and joy and happiness.   It is everything in a pure, perfected glorified blending of completeness.

2 Nephi 19:6 which is quoted from Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a child is born–and His name shall be called, Wonderful. Counselor, the Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

2 Nephi 25:12″–when the day cometh that the Only Begotten of the\ Father, yea, even the Father of Heaven and Earth, shall manifest himself unto them in the flesh, behold they will reject Him–.”

Mosiah 3:8 ‘And he shall be called Jesus Christ, the Son of God, Father of heaven and earth, the Creator of all things from the beginning: and His mother shall be called Mary.’

Heleman 14:12 “And also that ye might know of the coming of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of heaven and earth–.”

D&C 121:26-32 “God shall give unto you knowledge by His Holy spirit,  –which  our  forefathers  have  awaited  with  anxious expectation to be revealed in the last times–A time to come in the which nothing shall be withheld, whether there be one God or many Gods,  they  shall  be  manifest.    And  thrones  and  dominions, principalities and powers shall be revealed and set forth upon all who have endured valiantly for the gospel of Jesus Christ.  And also if there be hounds set to the heavens or to the seas, or to the dry land, or to the sun, moon, or stars–.  –According to that which was ordained in the midst of the council of the Eternal God of all other gods before this world was—.”
THE LIGHT OF CHRIST

God is hastening His work in its time– and its time is NOW. I have been trying to teach mankind how to find the divine contact with the Light of Christ that is right within their own souls, so that they could be in constant contact with Almighty God, and fulfill the promise given by Isaiah that they would need none to he their teachers, for God Himself would be their Instructor. See also D6C 1:19-20.

Christ said, “I am meek and lowly in heart.”  When we become meek enough and lowly enough in our own hearts, or learn to search the depths of our own hearts then we will find Him, for it will be then that He will unveil His face unto us.

This great over-flowing power of divine, eternal light and life is what I understood so thoroughly before I came to earth—and was ordained   to bring  forth or make it apparent to mankind who had completely lost all consciousness of it, though it had always been there. Love this Light–love it–this Spirit of God in which you live and move and have your being. It has to be loved like a little child.

In answer to your question, “Were we all one mass?’ Light is not mass.  Light is life. and life is intelligence,  It is energy. it is motion, it is activity.   Science has gone so far that they have proved that all energy is light, and that  life is light, and that light is always in pairs  of moving, speeding activity.  From the great central sun, nearest to the planet Kolob, light pours out over the universe, you might say it is the life force of all existence, or of the entire universe.   It reaches this earth as Cosmic rays, that are more or less broken up as they hit the surface of this earth’s outer crust. These pellets of light strike twenty a second into every human being on earth they renew the earth and the soil. It is this sustaining power of light and life that gives growth to all vegetation.  If this light or life was withheld for one second only, there would be instantaneous death and disintegration of all composed things.  These tiny rays of living light that are sent out from the presence of the Father may be entities. That I do not know, but since they are intelligent and spirit, that could be possible. When these rays were clothed in spirit form and endowed with self-consciousness was an individual experience, for we were not all born into spirit form at one time.

Anyway, you do not need to worry about it. When you need that knowledge, it will all be made perfectly clear in its glorious manifestation of our Father’s knowledge and power.   In the beginning,  this whole glorious force of light  through which and by which the worlds are and were created, was called “Christ.”

Later our great and glorious older Brother, the first born of the Spirit children of our Father, the most perfect, the most loving, was given the name and sent to the world as a symbol of all light and all life and all love.  He is our Redeemer, glorious and unselfish, filled with the love of the Father, and as we follow Him, we too can finally become again the light, but with all power added, because we too will have gone beneath all things, all earthly experiences of the flesh and subdued it. Thus is given to us the promise in D&C 50:26-29, “He that is ordained of God and sent  forth,  the  same  is  appointed to  be  the  greatest, notwithstanding he is the least and the servant of all.  WHEREFORE, HE IS POSSESSOR OF ALL THINGS:  FOR ALL THINGS ARE SUBJECT UNTO HIM,BOTH IN  HEAVEN AND ON EARTH, THE LIFE AND THE LIGHT,  THE SPIRIT AND THE POWER, SENT FORTH BY THE  WILL OF THE FATHER THROUGH JESUS CHRIST HIS SON.  But no man is possessor of all things EXCEPT HE BE PURIFIED AND CLEANSED FROM ALL SIN.”

It was through this Christ. or light that all worlds were and are created–and most of them are far older than this earth of ours.  It is one of the youngest–and it was not until just before the foundations of THIS EARTH, that Christ, the individual, was chosen to he the Redeemer of this world. He was chosen before the foundation of this earth–or as it says, the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.  But this great light of glory. of which we were a part existed long before that time, for we were in the beginning with God, even before any of the works of creation began.

As you continue along this glorious highway of light, you will soon find that you are filled with light, and comprehend all things–and  that  all  knowledge  is  within  your  own  being (omniscience).

All l can do is to assure you that the only real joy and happiness that is possible to attain is by  following the light. And it is true that the letters which I have sent to you are full of light and joy–for we have learned what light is and walk in it.  It is no longer just beautiful–it is glorious! It is all glory!  All light! All love! All peace! And all power! It is for man’s use and for his glory. It is yours. Just don’t be afraid.  Don’t doubt.   “KNOW THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH WILL MAKE YOU FREE!”

As you take time out to practice the glorious First and Great Commandment, getting the organs of your body united and unified in Spirit, through love. eternal and divine, then I ask that from here on, after practicing that commandment, you begin to visualize a light pouring out from you.

You will not see it at first, but you will feel it–! Now as often as you think of it, turn your attention to this inner light and with your conscious mind send it out from you to heal and bless a world.  Soon you’ll be able to see it with your physical eyes.  And others will begin to feel it.  And when one is born of the Spirit, it is this great inner divine self which steps forth into power, and the little mortal, ego self is completely put aside.

The easiest way to begin to send this light forth is to sit quietly practicing that first and great commandment, unifying the whole body in love–then as it becomes vibrating with love, transfer it into this Light and send that Light out from you.  You will feel that the very strongest rays go out form the very center of your body, but soon it will be that you will actually be radiating Light from every cell of your being.   Those whose vibrations are not lifted high enough to see it will not see it, but yet they will feel it.

Train yourself to hold this Light constantly and to send it out with magnified power.  As you send out this love upon it, you can either direct it to an individual, a group. or just send it out and it will  touch those who are in tune with it and unite with their light, or heal those who need healing.   Try to never lose consciousness  of it for one moment.  This is how Christ brought it forth to accomplish His works and to fulfill His destiny.

This Light of Christ is joy and song and ecstasy and glory that is unspeakable.  As you hold to that ecstasy, the darkness will soon be banished forever and joy such as you have never known will be yours always.  You will be cleansed from all past mistakes and prepared to be filled with Light, or to receive your “Anointing of Light.”  Then, in Moses 6:61 it informs us that QUICKENING spirit is given to abide in us–therefore it is up to us to bring it forth.  Now, as you hold yourself in that vibration of joy and glory and praise and rejoicing,  what you are really doing is holding your self in the purifying, glorifying flame of the Spirit of Almighty God, or in His quickening Spirit. This is done by your own conscious thinking.  As you begin to understand that it is entirely a matter of thinking, or awareness, of understanding, and that this tremendous power to constantly contact this glorifying spirit of God, or this “Light of Christ” is right within you at all times, and as you begin to use it with understanding you will understand completely and forever your own responsibility–and why it is necessary to cast darkness from you.

When you learn to contact that Light within you, and to abide in that Light you can ask anything and have it granted.  There is such unspeakable power, such dynamic breathtaking knowledge waiting for those who will only even try to believe–then if they will hold to that belief it will gradually develop into faith and vision– and finally will become complete knowledge.   And knowledge is power.

It is true that as we develop this Light and love it attracts people to us, and it is only as we fully realize that it is not us they are reaching for, but the Light of Christ which they feel, can we progress on to higher power.  That understanding is the first requisite to higher advancement. The self must be truly put aside that God can work through us, and that we give Him the glory for every step of progress we make is most essential.

Remember when we used to study so diligently that 6th chapter of John?  Notice verses 37-39:  “all that the Father giveth me shall come to me (that Light of Christ within) and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of Him that sent me. And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.” Then verses 44-45:  “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him; and I will raise him up at the last day.   It is written in the prophets, and they shall all be taught of God.  Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father cometh unto me.” And they are taught of God through this light of Christ within.

Then in John 10:28-30:  “and I give unto them eternal life: and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all: and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. And I and my Father are one.”

Thus it is that the Father leads us on until we become assured of that Light of Christ which is within us–and when we have finally made that contact and know and comprehend what it is, no one can ever again drag us back out of the Light.

Then in the D&C 88 and also Section 93 is given in so many places that He is the Light out of which all things were made, “I am the true Light that is in you, and that your are in me, otherwise ye could not abound.” This is the great eternal truth, which if one understands he is free, forever, eternally free.

Listen and you will realize where Carver is, and dozens of others who have never been given this Gospel as we have it, but who have found that divine contact with the Light of Christ, and live by it:  “For you shall live by every word that proceedeth forth from the mouth of God.–And everyone that hearkeneth to the voice of the Spirit cometh unto God, even the Father.” D&C 84:44.47.

Then in the very preface of this sacred book of Doctrine, even the book containing the eternal covenants of Almighty God is given the following: “The weak things of the world shall come forth and break down the mighty and strong ones, that man should not counsel his fellow men, neither trust in the arm of flesh–but that every man might speak in the name of God the Lord, even the Savior of the world: that faith also might increase in the earth; THAT MINE EVERLASTING COVENANT MIGHT BE ESTABLISHED.” D&C 1:19-22.

The everlasting covenant of Almighty God is that contact with the light of Christ within each man. It is the very voice of God–and it is an everlasting covenant for it is born within each and every man, it is new, for to each who find it is the greatest, most amazing, most divine gift ever dreamed of or desired. This contact with the Light of Christ within, so that each man can be directed personally by God is the very law of the Priesthood–and without it the priesthood and all its claims are in vain. Study with your soul wide open to understand Moroni 7:36-37.  That whole chapter 7 of Moroni deals entirely with our people NOW!  It is the most remarkable chapter ever written. It shows how utterly meaningless prayers are that are uttered through habit, how they are not only useless but wicked.  It reveals the Light of Christ and how we are to judge by it.  It shows the vanity of all things that have not the power of God to bear witness of the works.  It reveals the necessity of PLEADING WITH ALL THE ENERGY OF HEART FOR THE PURE LOVE OF CHRIST, that we might become purified, even as He is pure.

You ask how you can take hold of this Light of Christ more speedily, and how long after I began to understand the scriptures concerning the light of Christ within us before I understood how to contact it. I am not sure I can answer these questions clearly. That contact was a thing that I did not understand, but so many, many times I would be instructed in such dynamic, breathtaking ways down the years that I only marvel at my denseness in not completely comprehending it fully long before I did. I have heard its voice as plainly as one standing beside me speaking in my ear. I have heard actual words spoken–and it was usually in great emergencies, when I would be troubled or upset and it would give me directions, inform me that everything would be all right, or tell me things which I should do. At first I used to argue with it, for I knew that it could not possibly be right in the instruction it would give.  But it always proved to be right.  I learned to listen to it down the years, and knew positively that whatever it told me was so.   I learned to never question or doubt any information I received.  My life, since I was twenty years old has been filled with these contacts that have been so beautiful and so definitely true that all I needed to do when I finally  was given the understanding of this Light of Christ within was to just accept it. I already seemed to know about it. And then I went back over the many, many times in my life when it had instructed, warned, or directed me, and I bowed my head so humbly and with tears streaming from my eyes I kneeled and thanked God for a gift so perfect.

I am sure you can do the same thing. You can recall those moments  of  high  inspiration,  of  definite  instruction  and help–gather these memories to you–then just open up your heart and soul and mind and the knowledge will be yours. I think the first contact, or the first indication of this divine gift within is just a deep peace which comes when one prays earnestly to comprehend some problem. It is the eternal Light of Christ that is within us–and when we learn to “Be Still,” we will be bathed in its eternal, glorious peace.

Later one can begin to develop it and it may be in revelations that just seem to he inspired thoughts, or glorious vibrations of joy–and thus as one learns to understand he can grow from peace and inspiration into the full gift of divine revelation, which is promised to those who would only begin to pay conscious heed to this direction of Light.

Eyes single to the glory of God literally means eyes and heart and ears always seeking to heed, to glorify and to perfect this divine Light of Christ within you–this is the glory of God. Keep your eyes single to this idea and you will behold His face, remember: “in His time, in His way and according to His will.” It is this Light of Christ within you which you must keep your attention on.

Never stop in your search for truth until you have found all truth– the ONE GREAT ETERNAL TRUTH and you are forever free. This singleness of heart and eyes single to His glory is one and the same thing. It means to keep one’s attention focused on this Light and Intelligence of Christ within us. This Light and Intelligence is the glory of God, and as we keep our attention focused upon It, seeking only to bring it forth, to hear its direction and instructions in our lives that we might become perfect in all things for the glory of God, we-are fulfilling the highest laws possible. And much laughter and lots of hilarity takes one’s mind away from this center of Light, which is the center of joy, ecstasy and that deep inner gladness that is like a golden melody of glory.  Remember how hard we used to try to comprehend this–and now it seems so perfectly apparent.

I marvel more and more  at the breathtaking glory my eyes behold.  And now, I ask that you PRACTICE THAT FIRST AND GREAT COMMANDMENT AT LEAST ONE HOUR A DAY.  Practice it with all the “Umph” you have, and feel the vibrations of glory and light going through you–then send that light of glorious love out from you. VISUALIZE IT GOING FORTH FROM YOU AS RAYS OF HEALING  GLORY.  At first you will only feel the power of this Spirit of the Almighty as it goes pouring out from you, but as you continue faithfully, you will soon SEE THAT LIGHT. And before too long will be able to direct it. and it will obey as it goes forth from you to do the works, whatever you command of it in righteousness.  And thus, you become  the greatest, even this very Light,  and the least, because the little ego self has been forgotten and put aside. And with this Light and this Power you will truly become the very servant of all, then you will no longer need to try to convert with words–but that power will go forth to bear witness of the words.  And this is the only type of teaching that has power in this work, for this is the work of God, and the sign of his Kingdom and His Government must be upon it and bear witness of it.

As more and more gather, and their Light is united and sent forth,  they will help gather the whole world to a standard of righteousness and perfection, and you may be sure that God is over it.

About two weeks ago I awoke in the night praying that He would gather us under His wing, even as a hen gathers its chickens under Its wing, that we might be  DELIVERED FROM ALL EVIL, and that when the storms break they might not have power to touch us. I was quite astonished at the urgency with which I was praying–and during the last two weeks that very Urgency has persisted in filling my soul Then I realized that this work is gathering the pure in heart and teaching them how to completely purify their hearts, for these are the higher Millennial laws.  Joseph Smith stated that none could be wrapped in the power and glory of their Maker and caught up to dwell with Him unless they had been instructed in the laws and government of that Kingdom. That is most assuredly true.

Then Sunday evening Reason and I were sitting home checking some very pertinent passages of scripture, and we were so thrilled with the 8th Chapter of Proverbs beginning with the 23rd verse to the end of the chapter. Read it with the understanding that you were the Spirit of Truth, even a divine intelligence before even the earth was, or anything upon it, even from everlasting.

Then quite suddenly out of the pages of the Bible the following passages jumped out before our very eyes. It was almost as if it picked itself up and sat down in our laps. “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Host High shall abide in the shadow of the Almighty–He shall cover thee with His feathers and under His wing shalt thou trust.  His truth shall be they shield and buckler.” Ps. 91:1.4.

And of course, I had been taught already that the secret place of the most High is the center of our own souls, that depth of our beings where the Light of Christ abideth–and as we learn to abide in it, we are truly abiding in the Secret place of the Most High and that is definitely how we are gathered under His wings, or under His divine protection and power.  When a hen gathers her chickens under her wings when they are cold or weary or distressed, or when storms arise, she does not run all over spreading out her wings over each one.  She just sits down quietly and calls them to her, spreading out her wings so that they can come to her and nestle themselves close and safe under her protecting care.  Thus it is with us. He cannot place us under His protecting, powerful care, he can only call to us, and we have to gather to His Light. It is all up to us — “For behold, I stand at the door and knock, and if any man hear my voice I will come in and feast with him, and he with me.” “Ask. Seek. Search. Knock.”  We have to do that part of it.   We have to learn to listen to that tender, silent call that we might enter the Secret Place of the Most High.

Just bathe yourself every day in the Spirit.  Open your soul to feel it enfolding you, and gather it to you–feel it vibrating through you–literally bathe yourself in it at least once each day. You need to do nothing arduous, you just need to let your whole being feel its enfolding glory,  to accept of it, to feel the power of  Its  love–and  to  lift  your  mind  in  joyous  praise  and thanksgiving continually.

These are the higher laws.  They are beautiful and glorious. They must never be a burden, but an increasing joy as you gather the Spirit of the Lord to you by becoming ever and ever more aware of it, and shortly that divine Light within will come forth through the warmth of the Spirit without, and you will be filled with “The fullness of God” and be anointed with Light and comprehend all things.  Relax in the knowledge that the Spirit of the Lord is actually and literally surrounding you, and that you can draw it to you by just the simple effort  of becoming aware of it, by acknowledging it.  It is this consciousness of it that starts it flowing through you.

And this is the bread of Life Christ spoke of, “the flesh profiteth nothing.  For my words are Spirit and they are Truth.” This Spirit is the hidden manna, the bread of life.  So, relax and enjoy the glorious blessing and abundance of the Lord. Just praise and give thanks and rejoice and worship and adore..and permit Him to direct you, not you constantly struggling to burn your fingers by reaching to grasp it.  So stop striving so hard, just relax and let His Holy Spirit pour through you.    No help can be given to those  who  are  too  rigid  or  tense–not  even  a  chiropractic treatment.   Just love and enjoy every little moment of living. Breathe in the air as you have never done before, with a song of glory singing in your soul.

“Come unto me all ye who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, for my yoke is easy and my burden is Light.” His yoke is just being constantly aware of the Light within,  that you too might take that Holy burden of Light upon you and carry it always.   This is your mission and your destiny.

Now, there is something else I wish to share with you.  This time I am sending no scriptural records of references to prove it. I am asking only that you try it. As you take time out to practice that glorious First and Great commandment, getting the organs of your bady united and unified in Spirit, through Love, eternal and divine,  then I ask that from here on,  after practicing that commandment you begin to VISUALIZE A LIGHT POURING OUT FROM YOU. You will not see it at first, buy you will feel it.  It will be a vibration of power centered in the very center of your being.  Now as often as you can think of it turn your attention to this inner light and with your conscious mind send it out from you to heal and bless a world.  If you will continue to do this, before long it will become more real to you than anything else in life, and you soon will be able to see it with your physical eyes.  And others will begin to feel  it,  and those who are lifted into a high spiritual state of love and devotion will also have the power to behold it.  And that is the power of the Father which will go forth to do the works.  As soon as you have developed that Light you will no longer need to struggle to fulfill, for it will do the works.  All this terrific struggle, and dynamic striving has only been to prerpare us to be filled with Light. to unseal our minds, to open our hearts. to purify our lives–when that is done the striving is ended, and the power of the Almighty will take over.

This Light will go before you, as you send it out, to prepare the day for your glorious living–it will so before you to prepare your place of service. and to do the works.  It will heal, bless and enfold.  Those who will stand up in wickedness to fight this Light of the Spirit shall be judged accordingly, for they are fighting against the Light of God, and against His power.  And when one is born of the Spirit it is this great inner divine self which steps forth into power.

Listen: “Therefore, it is given to abide in you: the record of heaven: the Comforter: the peaceable things of immortal glory: the truth of all things: that which quickeneth all things, which maketh alive all things; that which knoweth all things, and hath all power…” Moses 6:61

` The only power that can quicken all things, make alive all things, or which knows all things, or hath all power is the Spirit and Power of the Almighty.   And if it is given to abide in us—or that is its abiding place as is also confirmed in the D&C 93:35, that the elements are the tabernacle of the Most High: yea, man is the tabernacle of God, even the temples–and since this all power is given to abide in us, then it is up to us to develop it and bring it forth.  No one can do this for us.  We have to do it even as Christ did it by His perfect living, by overcoming all things, as is given in the scripture in dozens of places.  This is the road Christ pointed out, the road which so few would find, we are just as bad as all the other churches in this respect, we fulfill the forms of Godliness and expect Christ to save and exalt us in His celestial kingdom, while within us are perhaps even greater smugness, more bigotry, and intolerance than many of the others have, and also our hates, envyings, jealousies, prides, prejudices, greeds and selfishness.  These are the things that have to be overcome if we expect to abide with Christ in any world to come.  We have to root these out of our hearts and fill our souls and minds and bodies with this glorious Light of God which is given to abide us.    We have to bring it forth to glorify God, to help enlighten a world,  to enfold it in love so forgiving,  so compassionate, so tender and merciful that we truly become perfect, even as our Father in Heaven is perfect.  These are the laws we must live by or perish for none can enter this new day nor the Glorious City of Zion, except the Pure in Heart.

So again, I say, listen very carefully. You need not struggle too hard to fulfill  these things–for they are already given to abide in you–perfect love, pure Light, all power and knowledge and goodness and life.  If you can just begin to sense what this means then you can begin to bring these things forth. They are already yours–for “All  that the Father hath is yours.” It always has been. If you can be sure of this, if you can exercise your faith to believe it–then your battle will  have really been won for it will be easy for you to begin to visualize that Light going forth from you, to prepare the way before you, each day, in all things, at all times, to melt prejudice and opposition and evil –for this is the life and the Light that will be subject to you. It Is YOURS always and forever to use, to glorify and to bring forth, and thus you become the greatest, even the Light itself, for you will  have received the fullness of the Father, been ordained of Him, brought forth your “anointing of Light” and in majesty  and power step forth into a higher phase of existence.(See D&C 50:24-29 and Sec. 93).

Yes, we have truly been dead and buried in the traditions of our fathers. I realized how terribly deep we had been buried when I received a booklet declaring that Adam is our God–and as I studied it, I realized  we have been unprepared to receive the truth. You see, that no matter what one worships, he is worshiping God, to a certain extent and according to his capacity. When one realizes that all things are composed out of His essence and His spirit all things become important and in a way sort of sacred.  And so each people worship according to their spiritual advancement–elements, images, exalted beings, or they continue to progress until the True and Living God is revealed, and they actually  know Him, and His Son  Jesus Christ,  and realize  that glorified name belongs also to them, and that they too are a part of the Light –and thus they become free, for they have learned the great truth, and they are free indeed, and all power becomes theirs both in heaven and on earth. How can I explain so great a thing to you?   It is this vibration of joy and glory which you feel singing in your soul–this is the God vibration, this is the LIGHT OF CHRIST as it springs into action within you–and as you learn to hold to that vibration you are learning to “walk with Him.” You are gradually banishing darkness from your life with all the negatives and evils and you are entering a new and glorious phase of exalted existence. This is the “overcoming” mentioned so often in scripture.  As you learn to hold yourself in that Light, to love and rejoice in it, and know its power, you will soon learn that you have become that very vibration of eternal Light–that you are no longer separated from it–and that is the At-one-ment Christ tried to put across. It is the exaltation of the body–the release and return of the Soul to its native and original condition of Light.

In the D&C God explains just what truth and spirit mean.  “For my word is truth, and whatsoever is truth is light and whatsoever is light is spirit, even the Spirit of Jesus Christ.” And so it was the light of the spirit of Jesus Christ that we were asked to partake of in the sacrament.   The sacrament is only the poor devitalized food of life without the power of life in it unless one reaches beyond into the spiritual meanings and supplies them also.

Now, I want to add more to this Light of Christ that is given to light every man that cometh into the world, so that you may fully comprehend its power in your life as you bring it forth.  I will first quote from Moroni 7:15-17 “For behold, my brethren, it is given unto you to judge, that ye may know good from evil: and the way to judge is as plain, that ye may know with a perfect knowledge, as the daylight is from the dark night.”

“For behold, the Spirit of Christ is given to every man, that he may know good from evil; wherefore, I show unto you the way to judge; for everything which inviteth to do good, and to persuade to believe in Christ is sent forth by the power and gift of Christ: wherefore ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of God.

“But whatsoever thing persuadeth men to do evil, and believe not in Christ, and deny Him, and serve not God, then ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of the devil; for after this manner doth the devil work, for he persuadeth no man to do good, no, not one: neither do his angels, neither do they who subject themselves unto him.”  These are the truest things ever written.

Read the following: D&C 93:1-4, 13-14, 17-129; then read from “Ye Are Gods” for the purpose of trying to understand God.  Keep this in mind as you bring forth that “Light of Christ” that is given to abide in you until it is mature and perfected right within you–you will know that it is the promise contained in the name of Jesus Christ–for I shall be powerful when I am anointed with light.

Now Moroni 7:18-19: “And now, my brethren, seeing that ye know the light by which ye may judge, which light is the light of Christ, see that ye do not judge wrongfully; for with the same judgment which ye judge ye shall also be judged.  Wherefore, I beseech of you, brethren, that ye should search diligently in the light of Christ that ye may know good from evil; and if ye will lay hold upon every good thing, and condemn it not, ye certainly will be a child of Christ.”

Study the foregoing until the full meaning and power of it becomes imbedded in your very soul.  Then study all the scripture on the subject, especially the 93rd Section of the D&C.  Study them diligently.  Now, it is the Light of Christ, or the Spirit of Truth that is given to abide in you that I am so anxious for you to begin to comprehend.

Then love this glorious revelation given in Moses 6:61: “Wherefore it is given to abide in you; the record of heaven: the Comforter; the peaceable things of immortal glory: the truth of all things: that which quickeneth all things: which maketh alive all things; that which knoweth all things and hath all power, according to wisdom, mercy, truth, justice and judgment.”

The foregoing is the most true statement ever uttered.  This power of Christ, the Spirit of Truth, the Light of all knowing and all life is contained right within you.  It has always been there. It always will be there.  But it is worthless to man, this greatest of all gifts from almighty God, unless man begins to use it.

Now to show you of its power–when you begin to bring it forth first through faith, then absolute knowing, praising God for it, rejoicing in it, accepting it as the most glorious of all the gifts of the Father, worshipping and adoring Him for it, you begin to let your Light so shine so that others seeing it may glorify your Father which is in heaven, by also beginning to understand their own light–and to bring it forth. This is the only possible way to glorify God–for “His kingdom is not in word, but in power.”  Thus you become filled with light. This great light does not come forth from the outside to man–it must be brought forth from within man, for the eternal glory of God.

As one learns to turn to this Light of Christ within, or the Spirit of Truth, to know truth from error, it begins to grow and expand–and gradually it fills ones being and he is filled with light.  Then it is that He learns to listen to that voice within to be directed in all things even as Christ did, he will eventually speak no word unless it is given him of God.  There is no end to its power, no end to its glory.  It is unspeakable and beyond the understanding of those who have lived from the intellect rather than from the soul.  It can only be brought forth to its complete fullness through the deepest humility, the greatest reverence, and with the full knowledge that it is the power of God–and that to begin to take credit for this power would cause the greatest hurts possible to oneself.  For, even as Christ, one must know that it is the power of God, and give Him the credit.

Gradually as one subjects his own personal ego, and self and desires, to the minute instructions of this great Light and knowing power of God, he becomes one with God and the power of God dwells in him.  At first man brings forth the Light, or the Christ power–and finally receives the fullness of the Father and becomes that very power.  “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:  who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God.” Phil. 2:5-6.

Now if I may, I will give you the record of that power which is given in its fullness after God has anointed man with it.  First you begin to understand the Light of Christ that is given to abide in you–you believe in it–you bring it forth through prayer, humility, love and alert attention–always relying upon it instead of your own ideas and knowledge using your mental powers-only for the purpose of becoming obedient to that great Light of Christ within you–then gradually you bring forth the WORD–or LIGHT, or CHRIST LIGHT and make it flesh–your flesh.

First you learn to command that Light within you to come to your aid in judging truth and error–in seeking more light and information–in taking over difficult situations–in giving you power to command situations that might turn into disaster—in shielding your from destruction–yea, its uses are legion—its powers illimitable.   It is yours to use upon any and every occasion.  The more you use it the greater it becomes.  As you use it your glorify it–and it glorifies you–only now the little ego you have has been submerged in merges with greater light where it is only the will of God that matters–and only His glory is desired.  As the self is lost in the great and glorious Light, greater power is given.

Now you will understand the meaning of “Be still and know that I am God.” You will understand the words, “And He called them Gods unto whom the WORD of God came.” The word of God being the Spirit of Light of Christ, as man learns to hear its voice.  The kingdom of heaven is likened to a mustard seed that must grow–to leaven that must expand until it fills the entire being.  This is most certainly so.  This Light of Christ is the divine Kingdom of Heaven within us.

As I read your letter, tears of joy often came to my eyes. For just a moment I would like to direct your mind toward the physical things of this world.  If our blessings are wealth, and all the great security this world could possibly offer of what value will it be when the nations are brought into complete judgment before God–when cities are left desolate and men’s lives and hands stripped empty of their treasures. All the wealth in the world cannot possibly bring that security of just being able to contact God, being directed by that divine Light within.  As you fully grasp the higher vision, you will see how pinning one’s faith and hope on these temporal securities is leaving God standing on the outside, while one places his faith and confidence on mammon, or the things of the world.  These are the idols of the earth and shortly we will see them all crumble into dust and ashes, and only those who have found that Light, and walk in it will be able to walk in safety.

Yes, it is correct that in order to be born of the Spirit one must fulfill the laws of righteousness until they are “Anointed with Light” or receive the “Fullness of the Father”, as Christ did and the pattern which is described in the first chapter of John. Study also Sec. 93 of D&C along with that.  Yes, we receive that anointing when in every cell and fiber of our being we have been able to bring forth that Light of Christ from within and then with full and complete understanding of our conscious minds comprehend that we are that very Light.

To us, the birth of Christ now means much more than it ever did formerly.  It not only means the birth of the Son of God into the world to show us the way–it means also the coming forth of that Christ Light from within us–this is the Light the Wise Men of the earth must follow until they kneel before Him.  It is the Light that only the shepherds (the most humble) saw and followed to behold the Christ.  Again the symbolism that awaits man who desires to behold His face.  And so we worship a Christ who can be brought forth from every human heart as that Light or star within guides the way.  Thus only can we honor our divine, glorious older Brother, the son of God.  Thus only can we truly be worthy of the gift He gave, the gift of peace–the gift of love, life and peace. And so placing all that we possess upon the altar before Him we bear His light away with us–that we may never walk in darkness.

And when we have overcome all things, fulfilling all things, and have submerged our desires in His great and glorious will may we have the power to step across–or enter into that higher realm of divine living and power– even as He stepped across to complete fulfillment; to receive all that the Father had.

And the Christ was born where the animal in man and the divine in man meet–shall we say in the manger–the place where true humility glorifies animal instincts and transmutes them into the divine.

If some of these symbols I am writing are a little difficult to comprehend, or startling, do not let it worry you. Before long it will all become very apparent to you–and your rejoicing will reach into heaven.

The glorious spirit of Christ that is given to abide in each man is a reality more definite and more eternal than anything we have ever been aware of in this life.  It is the Light of which we were composed before time began–and since Christ fulfilled all the laws of righteousness He is in charge of it.    It is named after Him and the same Light that was in HIM is also in us–and as we bring it forth, by becoming more closely connected with this Light, more in tune with it, more filled with goodness and love and understanding, we begin to bring it forth in our own lives.

We begin to speak through this power of Christ, that is given to abide in us, and as we live according to that guiding light within, developing it, glorifying it, we begin to fulfill more and more the laws of perfection–then comes the amazing discovery that it is this Light within us that is our own personal Redeemer or Savior.  It is according to the heed and diligence we give to this Light of Christ within us that we are directed into ways of safety. saved form error, redeemed from mortality and Lifted into a higher realm of glory. The name of this glorious Light with which we are finally completely anointed is “Christ.”

It is when we receive of its fullness and have perfected and brought it forth in our own lives that we become one with God– belonging to that Holy Trinity of glory–one with God and Christ, glorified by the Holy Spirit as we have followed it and magnified it in our lives.

And know this always–there is still the person Jesus Christ our great and glorious older brother, divine in His work, powerful in His mission and anyone who denies Him is an anti-Christ.  We can only follow it. We must learn to think, speak and act through that inner contact with the spirit of Truth.  Only in this way can any of us go on to higher things–only in this way can any of us ever fill our own true pattern of life, and take upon us the Name of Jesus Christ, which is the only name under heaven whereby mankind can be saved.

Thus as we ask Christ to visit us, we are inviting this spirit of Christ within us to come forth and take over our lives. It can also mean that Jesus Christ in person is invited to attend us as we are prepared to associate with Him.   It is true that He personally will visit us from time to time as we follow the Light of glory, the gift of Christ within us.

As you learn to “be still” you will begin to hear that voice from within, that sacred, still small voice of peace, and gradually your spiritual ears will become attuned to hear it at all times– in all things. Then you will know that you need no teacher, that God only can instruct you–that He only can direct you–that He only must be your guide.  You will walk with Him as did Enoch of old, and the great and noble ones since the world began.  This is the only true pattern of life.  It is this that I am so desirous to lead the saints to– this knowledge of contact with the source of all knowledge.  Only God knows the pattern of each man’s life. Only He can reveal complete Truth.

Learn to abide in that Light–turn to it– worship it—praise and thank God for it–and in a humility such as you have never before felt, learn to give yourselves to it–for humility is the willingness to give up the small personal self–that you might bring forth this greater power, even performing the will of God in all things.  It is the self that is sin–it is the self that is pride and as the self is submerged to the will and Light of God, perfection can come.

Whenever there is an important question, never answer it without turning in humble prayer within for the answer, for remember “it is given to abide in you–the truth of all things…”  All truth is contained right within you–all knowledge, all power–use it.  Bring it forth.  Only as you depend on it, by turning to it in time of need, and finally at all times, can you develop it and bring it forth as an active power in your lives.

This Spirit and Light and Life and Power cannot be controlled by any individual until he first learns to control it right within his own being.  THIS IS THE KEY.  Guard it well, wear it in glory, and God bless you forever and forever.

IF YE ARE PREPARED YE SHALL NOT FEAR

There are over a million L.D.S. at the present time–of the tribe of Ephriam.  But the promise is that only twelve thousand of them shall have that sacred seal of the Almighty placed upon their forehead.  Those who purify themselves and receive that glorious seal, or crown of everlasting victory and power–these are the ones who cannot be touched or injured by any calamity destruction or terror that can come upon the earth–and there will be such desolation that our minds can not encompass it.  These who have taken into their hearts, souls and minds these great, divine laws of  eternal  Light will  have  power  to completely escape  every disaster without even being disturbed by it.  Those who have not purified and cleansed themselves will have to go through the shock and horror of such magnitude that many of them will perish—there will be also those who survive, but they will be so completely humbled, so utterly prepared by that time to follow the truth and Light of God that they will weep for joy for the privilege of having these great eternal truths placed in their hands. They will be like the inhabitants of the earth who escaped the destruction upon this hemisphere at the time of the crucifixion of Christ. There were only three days and three nights of it then, and all who remained both among the Nephites and Lamanites become a people of obedience and glory.

Of those who live through the terrible disasters, I understand that most of them will be injured, maimed, crippled or ill through the effects of the slow process of radiation–and then He will come, with “Healing in His Wings” and they will be healed of the shock of their illnesses and plagues, their blindness and injuries–and light and love will enfold them.  And we will love them with this great and perfect love that holds no condemnation or no reproach.

Do study carefully chapter 14 of Revelation. The new song is this song of praise and love and gratitude that will go out in vibrations of love to our Gracious Father, not from our lips in mortal words, but from every little singing cell of glory in our bodies.   This is the new song–and none will be able to sing it except those who have perfected that love and light right within themselves.  On the other side, or in the higher spiritual realm, thought transference is used instead of spoken words–it is more perfect–there are never misunderstandings or lack of words to express–it is just complete knowing of each others thoughts—thus this new song is the very perfection of every emotion and every feeling of love and light and praise and adoration that will sing with such glory in the soul it will reach the very heavens to glorify God.

Few will understand this at this time, but you will, and you will love it, even as I do and as the others will who are working so diligently on these great unspeakable laws of eternal glory.

Now, after you have carefully studied every word of verses 4 and 5, study verses 6 and 7.  We are trained to teach that this angel who was to fly through the midst of heaven has already come and restored the Everlasting Gospel. This is a misinterpretation. Read D&C 88:99-104.  Verse 99 tells of the second angel sounding the trump and the redemption of “Christ’s chosen who are to be redeemed at His coming–then the 3rd Angel sounds his trump and those who are not permitted to come forth, but are judged along with the rest of the dead who wait for redemption.    Then the 4th angel sounds his trump and he takes care of those who have survived all the calamities but who are still filthy–then the fifth trump sounds which is the fifth angel who committeth the everlasting gospel–he is the angel who is to literally fly through the midst of heaven and unto all nations, kindreds and tongues and people shall his call be, saying with a loud voice, “Fear God, and give glory to Him: for the hour of His judgment is come, and worship Him that made heaven and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.”  And that is when every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is the Christ–and then comes the final judgment upon the earth.

Chapter 9 of Revelations, verse 4 shows how completely those who receive that seal on their foreheads shall escape the judgments.  Chapter 7 is also beautiful.  I have been given the understanding that those who have received this glorious seal of all-knowing and all-power will be called here and there to protect those who will be ready to be taught when the calamities are ended. There will also be those who have lived fairly good lives yet have not received the seal who will be spared.

There will be destructions so great that the ocean will almost be lifted out of its bed–the land torn asunder and shaken like a piece of cloth.  The sun will be seven times brighter than seven days–which means that it will be forty nine times hotter than an ordinary day–this is the heat wave spoken of in which men will lift up their voices and curse God and die.  The moon will be a bright as the sun.  Even now during full moon the tides of the sea are pulled beyond their bounds–and even the land raises with the pull of it–what will it be like if this pull is increased a hundred fold’  It is true that the cities shall sink into the sea–the earth shake until no wall shall stand–and the continents be brought together again as they were in the beginning.  These last terrifying calamities will come after the righteous are caught up to meet Christ-thus they will escape the unspeakable horror of such utter destruction–and those who survive will be so glad to be taught-and there will be those spared of every nation and kindred and people.  Then this Gospel of great light will be taught to every nation and to every people–this Gospel of love and power and light.

If you wish to check a few of the references on the destructions, I have mentioned, see Isa. 13:13; Isa. 24:19-23: Isa. 2:19 and the great heat wave is recorded in Isa. 30:25-26.  The less your mind dwells on these calamities, and the greater love and peace and light your thoughts can send out the greater good you can do.   Do not let the thoughts of these great destructions and calamities distress or worry you.  They must come–not that God desired it so, but man, through his own blindness, selfishness, greed and pride has brought them upon this glorious world God gave to us as our abiding place.  And out of it will come a glorified perfected world, and each man will find his place, and those who will not listen here on this earth must needs be taken to the other side to wait even as the rebellious at the time of Noah had to die in the destruction they had brought.  And, like that group who were visited by Christ while His body lay in the tomb, these shall also hear the gospel of Light–so very few will ultimately he lost.  So let no fear distress you.  In our hands is given Light–and we must behold only that light. As we train ourselves to carry this light we will be able to pass through any storm as our eyes behold only the power and glory of God.  This is what is meant—“eyes single to His glory” for it will eventually be for His glory.

Two will be sleeping in a bed, one will be taken and the other left.  And whether they are taken or whether they are left depends on their own obedience-and His great love and tenderness will eventually heal the nations and those who have perished out of them.   And those who survive will kneel with such complete adoration at His feet.

The seal in the forehead is when we are completely anointed with the Light of Christ–or when we have completely brought forth that divine light within us until our conscious minds are completely aware of it and filled with its glory and power with full knowing.  Then will all things be subject unto us.

In Genesis 10:25 it says that in the days of Peleg the earth was divided.  In D&C 133 it says that the land of Jerusalem and the land of Zion shall be turned back into their own PLACE (not places) and the islands would again become ONE LAND as they were in the beginning.

I have understood that the separating of the continents was gradual–at first they were not to far apart, but as time when on the rift became greater and in some great earthquake the miles multiplied.  Joseph Smith gave out the information that the City of Enoch was taken from the Gulf of Mexico–which is verified by science today.  There is a certain portion of the gulf that seems to have no beaches, no regular land markings, and geologists say it is as though a portion of the gulf land had been shaken loose and had probably sunk or drifted out to sea and become an island.

All the ancient records of Greece, Egypt and Italy tell of the sunken Atlantis.  I have always believed that the sunken Atlantis was the City of Enoch that disappeared.  It did not sink.  It was taken up into heaven as the Pearl of Great Price proclaims.  Every record, every legend and tradition give a description of that lost
Atlantis as a land of utter glory, a land of perfection, peace and beauty.  The Garden of Eden was also on this continent, or rather in America, since there was only one continent in the beginning.

The soil and rock formation along the west coasts of Africa and Europe are exactly the counterpart of that along our East coast. If you examine carefully you will see that with a shifting here and there, the whole land surface would fit together in a perfect jig-saw pattern.  The great mountains were raised after the flood–and when they are lowered, as they will be at Christ’s coming, the thousands upon thousands of square miles heaped up in the Himalayan Mountains would close the Red sea as scriptures declare in prophecy will happen–the Mediterranean would be shoved out of the map–and there would be the one great river course described in Genesis.   The Mississippi and the Nile, were originally one with the Congo for the ridge of mountains had not arisen in the center of Africa to make two river courses. Originally the Congo and the Amazon of South America were joined and were a part of that one great river course.

Before too long these great truths will fully come to light.  What a glorious world we live upon. How marvelous it is. And what a great privilege it is to be able to belong to it.

D&C 45:39.46-49 “–he that feareth me shall be looking forth for the great day of the Lord to come, even for the signs of the coming of the Son of Man.  –the saints shall come forth from the four quarters of the earth.  Then shall the arm of the Lord fall upon the nations. And then shall the Lord set His foot upon this mount, and it shall cleave in twain, and the earth shall tremble, and reel to and fro, and the heavens also shall shake.”

THE MIGHTY POWER OF FAITH

Faith itself is a word so blinding I bow my head before it in breath-taking awe.  As my physical eyes are at last permitted to behold it and my physical mind comprehend it, I realize that it has not been glorified by being called the first Principle of our Gospel, but rather we have defiled it by our very ignorance. Faith is truly the substance of things hoped for.  It is the substance of Spiritual energy and Light, the very power of God that fills all space, that enfolds all substance–it is more, it is the substance of which all things are composed, it is the eternal, creative power and substance of Almighty God, and all things are composed of it, universes, worlds, and all things that in them are; and we too are made of this divine spiritual substance.  As one holds a hope in his heart, that hope makes a mold that is filled with this spiritual power of eternal, creative glory–and if we can hold that desire or hope in our hearts until every doubt is eliminated that hope has to be fulfilled, or made tangible and brought forth into concrete, visible form.  “All that the Father has is yours.” This same power of creation out of which He created the worlds, is ours to use as our vision swings out and we lay hold upon it–and thus is fulfilled the dynamic, almost unspeakable promise given in the D&C sec. 5:24-29–“And all things will be subject unto him, both in heaven and on earth, the Light and the Life, the Spirit and the Power.” Drink in this promise.  Live on it. Absorb it, and know it above all else. The Life and the Light is this Light of Christ within you which becomes subject unto you as you learn to cast out all darkness, and give it a chance to grow, or as given in I Thess 5:16-23: Rejoice evermore.  Pray without ceasing.  In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God–Quench not the Spirit.

And the Spirit and the Power which will be completely subject unto one is the very law and principle and power of Faith in all its  breathtaking  glorious  power  of  eternal  creation  and fulfillment.

It seems that my power to express these things falls so short, but if you will continue to read and study these letters, and the scriptures, and to pray about it, you will begin to comprehend these things that mortal minds have rarely comprehended. This is the beginning of the powers which Christ promised to those who would only believe–the powers to do the things which He did and even greater works than He did. This same dynamic power of faith is still waiting.  It is ours to use.

And again, our understanding of the words, “Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” means exactly the opposite of what we have always thought. It does not mean any works in the church, like holding office, it means the very works of power, the works of faith such as Christ promised. And Faith without these works is truly dead.

I want to urge you and everyone else who has hold of this work to begin to pray that “The promises made to the fathers might begin to be fulfilled.”  We must begin to exercise the great and mighty faith manifest by the brother of Jared, for the time is now.  God has given us this work just to teach and prepare us to exercise faith to that extent, that every great and dynamic promise ever made to the children of men might begin to find fulfillment. It is so urgent. We are going to need that power shortly–it is time for us to prepare with all the strength we possess.  But remember, it is to be a work of faith–not of tearing your soul out of your body, nor your mind out of your head–it is to be an exercise of flaming glory, of love, of praise, of devotion, of ecstasy and joy and gladness that never ends.  It is not a prayer of desperate, clinging darkness and sorrow–our faith is to go forth clothed in Light and arrayed in glory. Lift up your soul and sing–and hold that high song of ecstasy vibrating in your soul–this is the faith that must be used.

Man is the branch of the door through which the very power of Life is manifest.  It is only as he acknowledges or becomes aware of this power or light within, even as Christ did, that he can do the works of the Father.

I was awakened a couple of nights ago and told that Faith is an Element–for days upon days its blinding glory has been filling my soul. I expected a tiny crack to be opened in my brain when I first began praying for a complete understanding of faith.  I expected a word, a phrase, a thought might penetrate into my dense mind and I would comprehend it.  Not only my skull needed to be opened a crack, but it needed to be opened wide, and my heart and my soul and every pore of my body, for the thing for which I asked was to comprehend the very powers of the universe, the laws of creation, the foundation of all existing things and the substance thereof.  And now I stand overwhelmed with the blinding power of Almighty God as it fills the Universe.

I wanted to share with you the seal that must be placed at the end of the book.  I had wondered why the work had been delayed, then last night it was made apparent and I was given this final seal and told that now it is finished.

Read D&C 71:5 for it states that those who do not reject these things shall receive more–and the MORE will be the POWER.

When one once gets this vision of Light, and knowledge and understanding of love; the comprehension that God desires us to begin to work for perfection right here on earth; then learns to leave the hurts, the hates, the fears, the worries and the darkness of thought behind, then nothing on earth could ever cause him to turn back. To lay down one’s life for such divine principles would be an everlasting privilege. For when one steps into this higher vision, he is being prepared to be admitted into the Church and Kingdom of the Firstborn, and no man can cut him off, for it is truly the kingdom of God. How glorious to belong to this kingdom. Since we have been taught to believe that this belongs only to those who have died and passed on, we should study more carefully the rest of the scripture pertaining to it–the scripture which testifies that man cannot receive this fullness of joy unless his body and spirit are together, and unless he purifies himself from all sin, becomes born of the Spirit and receives the higher powers.   How utterly blind we have been.

“And who overcome by faith, and are sealed by the Holy Spirit of Promise, which the Father sheds forth upon all those who are just and true–they are they who are the Church of the Firstborn–they are they into whose hands the Father has given all things–they are they who are Priests and Kings, who have received of His fullness and of His glory.” D&C 76:53-56

The time is at hand when faith must he perfected.  Lay hold of these promises and pray day and night in love and praise and joy and gladness and adoration, that you be prepared to have His face unveiled to you, that you might receive of His fullness and be ordained of Him.  Pray without ceasing–not in a strained, tense attitude, but in worship and glory–but ‘pray without ceasing,” and whatever you lack will come to you in knowledge that you might be made ready.  No one can be entrusted with such knowledge or power until their eyes are truly single to the glory of God, when they have lost every personal desire, every inclination to use that power for self-glorification or display.  Any one who received these powers and with even one thought out of line thinks of using it to display what they have achieved will be destroyed.  Thus is the need for such minute training, such careful preparation.  If these great powers were bestowed when one first receives this glorious vision, he would be like a child receiving a high-powered car, or an airplane, the keys and the equipment, but neither the training nor the ability to use them and would very likely destroy himself. And so the great wisdom and love of our father has placed these things in our hands and given us time to prepare ourselves to handle the greater powers of light and life.  And first, our Faith has to be developed to the point of perfection, then it becomes KNOWLEDGE– and after KNOWLEDGE comes the WISDOM  and the POWER.  These are the steps of progress into the realm of Light. It is always the little, ego self that is sin. When it becomes submerged, then and then only, can one become the greatest, filled with the fullness of God, and God will do His works through Him.

The power of Godliness is the power to become as God “To be perfect even as our Father in Heaven is perfect” which Christ spoke of.  And He gave no commandment that is impossible to keep.  In II Hermas, of the New Testament Apocrypha, Chapter XII: 15-16 it states as follows:  “He (the angel) answered, Thou shalt easily keep these commandments, and they shall not he hard: howbeit, if thou shalt suffer it once to enter the heart that they cannot be kept by anyone, thou shalt not fulfill them.  But now I say unto thee, if thou shalt not observe these commands, but shall neglect them, thou shalt not be saved, nor thy children, nor thy house; because thou hast judged that these commands cannot be kept by man.”  These same words could be applied to every teaching and promise ever given by Christ or through the gift of the Holy Ghost, or the inspiration of God, if it enters into the heart that they cannot he lived, then truly one has lost the power to comprehend Godliness.

I caught  just a glimpse,  the other evening,  of a new understanding of the One Mighty and Strong who is to come,–and realize fully that it all depends on those who have caught the vision of these higher laws and are seeking to fulfill them in their lives–who are learning how to exercise great and mighty faith, and the perfection and power to cast out all darkness.

Yes, that last chapter on faith is so beautiful:  It was that little word “faith” that started me on a quest that has lasted so long.  I expected so little, and have received so much.  And now as I contemplate the utter power and glory of a principle as great as eternity I seem to be completely overwhelmed with the infinite wonder of it.  Then you tell how small and over-awed you feel
before this work and, I can only bow my head and whisper softly, “Yes. I know. for I stand trembling with the very awe and wonder of it.”

PURIFICATION AND PERFECTION

So that you can get ready for the greater things let me share these truths with you.  After you have learned how to live that first and great commandment literally, until it becomes a living, vibrating part of your whole being, and when you can contact that Spirit of Almighty God and be aware of its existence within you— them I want you to know that you have the most divine, perfect microphone in all existence right within you.  Your own heart is a divine, glorious instrument of power.  Speak to the Lord through it often.  Love Him, adore Him, praise him and give thanks and honor and devotion–give it through your heart. And you will begin to realize just how close that contact is, and how glorious it is to walk with God.

Now the next step–begin to learn to speak every word you utter through that glorious, divine instrument of love. your own heart–as you do this, as you practice it and work on it and get the feel of it, and the knowing of its sweetness and power, you will begin to  comprehend that He is speaking through you–even as He spoke through Christ at all times.  No one can give you this knowledge. for the glory of it can only be yours as you experience it yourself.

Then the next step–begin to think through that instrument of glory, your heart–and as you filter every thought through this power of love you will realize that you are beginning to think His thoughts–or perhaps it is that He is beginning to think through your mind–and your heart will be opened to receive that glorious gift of love which the Father sheds forth in the hearts of the children of men, according to I Nephi 11:22,23.25.

When you take hold of this and can use this knowledge in your life, then you will know that you are truly eating of the fruit of the Tree of Life.   Then you will be ready for the greater knowledge.

This practice of sending out this light is the greatest power of preparation possible.   We have struggled to become conscious of that Light within, we have sought to fill our beings with it– now that it might be brought forth fully we must begin to send it forth.  This is the most important thing I have ever written upon this subject.  This is your step now, and is to prepare for that which is to come.

You ask why it is that sometimes this is so easy to hold to and other times becomes so elusive.  Everything on earth grows in waves that go out and then seem to hesitate or stop.  Growth is accomplished, shall we say, in jerks of progress and periods of stillness.  This work is like that.  There are the great moments and hours and days of high inspiration–and the days of comparative stillness–but you may be sure of this, each time that inspiration sings forth in the glory and joy of God, its power increases until gradually it becomes the full reality of living.

You asked how to hold it–the easiest and surest way is just to praise God and glorify His name with every thought and with every breath.  Adore and worship Him with all your heart and soul, and the contact with His glorious,  all-enfolding Spirit  is complete.  Don’t just think that you love Him, but feel that love and gratitude, and that makes it real.

Before long you will be able to hold this joyous singing songs of ecstasy–and just know that when you have that inner song of joy singing in your soul that it is the Spirit of the Lord becoming active within you.  Know that any dark, gloomy, depressing thoughts crowd it out.  It is most sensitive and cannot endure depressive. sad, unkind, irritated, dark thoughts.  It has to withdraw when we permit ourselves to become filled with darkness.  When you fully KNOW this, then it will be possible for you to gather to you the eternal glory of Light, to completely enfold yourself in it until you are filled with Light, and comprehend all things.

Thus His Light is in us–in fact, we were a very part of it before our individualities were brought forth.  This great Light was us–we are it–that is, as we throw off the mortal concept and wrap ourselves in this Light and Spirit of God, which is everywhere present, filling all space, and all material.  As we become more and more aware of this Spirit of God that literally surrounds us as the water surrounds the fish in the sea, or as given in Acts 17:23, “For in Him we live and move and have our being,” we become generators to gather this Spirit into us and to send it out with increased power.  In this way this power of God abides in us, and it does the works–and our bodies become the living Temples of the Most High God. This light sent out from the great central sun, or the throne of God, is continually being drawn back to its source in an ever flowing current of life giving energy.  None of it is ever destroyed.

Study carefully John 3:1-8, especially the following verses: “That which is born of the flesh is flesh: and that which is BORN of the SPIRIT IS SPIRIT. Marvel not that I said unto thee, ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh or whither it goeth; SO IS EVERYONE THAT IS BORN OF THE SPIRIT.”   In other words, when anyone is born of the Spirit, he can come and go by the power of the Spirit and none will know whence he came from or whither he goeth.

And now, about Christ coming in a day of great wickedness. That is most assuredly true. The world will be in a condition of such distress and wickedness as has never before existed upon this earth–and as He stands upon the Mount of Olives five out of six gathered upon that ancient battlefield will perish with the Light and glory of His presence. But you must also understand that there needs be established before He comes, a people purified, even as He is pure, who are LIKE HIM AT HIS COMING–and the Zion must be built–and Zion is first a condition, for it means literally, the pure in heart–and the word Saints means “HOLY ONES.”  First there must be those who can purify themselves, and as they perfect that condition within themselves, the great city can be established–and not before.  For all the prophets tell that ONLY THE PURE IN HEART can enter that city–those who have fulfilled all the laws and cleansed the inside of the cup.  I wish I could talk to you about that city.  It is so sacred–so gloriously sacred.  And He has said, “My people will I preserve.”  The knowledge of the Lord cannot possibly cover the earth as the waters cover the sea until the great destructions prepare the majority who will remain upon the earth to receive Him.   But His Spirit must begin to be comprehended, for it cannot be poured out upon all flesh until they comprehend even in the cells of their bodies and in the fibers of their beings just what that Spirit is–and begin to perfect it within themselves.  This will not be an instantaneous thing—and this is where the TEACHING will come in, for they will have to be taught by those Mighty Ones who have already perfected that Light within themselves. Then, armed with the authority and power of the Almighty, they will so forth to do the works that He did.  If he came now, the world is in such a condition that it would be utterly wasted at His coming.

I am sure that sometime all people will understand these higher laws of perfection, and will learn to live by them.  Some will travel slower, and some will be ready to take hold quickly, according to their inner desires and preparation.

It is a little like the time required for Joseph Smith to receive the records of the Book of Mormon–time to overcome every little personal desire of the flesh; every desire to have these powers so that they can stand out above their fellow man.  He who hopes for these powers with such an idea in mind can never receive them, for he who receives them is truly the servant and must become the very least of all.  He must out the self aside so completely that it does not even exist, to a certain extent, and then it is that he becomes the greatest, then it is that the very Light and power of the Almighty takes over, and it is the greatest–not us. For we, of ourselves can truly do nothing, but only as this power is brought forth to do the works can anything be accomplished. And that is when the self is entirely forgotten and our eyes are single to the very glory of God, and we seek only His will.  It takes time to prepare oneself for such a high destiny.  Joseph was a humble farm boy, but it took him four years.  Perhaps some can accomplish it sooner, and I believe they will in time, but it will he such a revolutionary step it will be almost like stepping out of old and soiled apparel and arraying one’s self in garments of glory, for the old ties of mortal thoughts, feelings, and desires must be left behind.  Then too, it is much easier to teach others when we have fulfilled these higher laws ourselves.

The easiest way to begin to send this Light forth is to sit quietly practicing that first and great commandment, unifying the whole body in love and then as it becomes vibrating with love, transfer it into this Light and send the Light out from you.  You will feel that the very strongest rays go out from the very center of your body, but soon it will be that you will actually he radiating Light from every cell of your being.   Those whose vibrations are not lifted high enough to see it will not see it, but yet they will feel it.  Train yourselves to hold this Light constantly and send it out constantly with magnified power as you send out this love upon it.  You can either direct it to an individual, a group, or just send it out and it will reach those who are in tune with it and unite it with their Light, or heal those who need healing. Try to never lose consciousness of it for one moment. This is how Christ brought it forth to accomplish His works and fulfill His destiny.

Study John 6:37-39, 44-45.  These passages of scripture must be studied, pondered over, prayed about and taken hold of completely. These are the things we know, but we must get them so thoroughly into our souls that we will remember them always.

Remember when we used to be told that it would become easy. Those most exalted moments that we spent together that winter are but a breath of every moment of living as we have become partakers of this glorious vision.  I was told that when we could hold ourselves completely in the light for SEVEN days, we would receive our anointing of light.  It sounds as simple as that, and is—but to fulfill it is another thing. I was told that only a week ago–and since this has been a week of many activities, I have not had the time to hold to it consciously or continuously. I realize that we must get so that we hold to it no matter what comes or goes in our lives.

And so I ask that you pray constantly for the work to be consummated as speedily as possible and that you be ordained of God–this is the work which we have to do now in order to connect up with the work that is being done over there. If you can hold yourself in that inner vibration of Light and pray for that ordination, you will know that it is the will of God, and you will no longer doubt in your heart.

There are great and mighty things ahead of us.  I saw how your children would be taken care of so that in the days to come you will be free to serve wherever and whenever you are needed.  I rejoice that you are a part of this work.  I rejoice with all my soul in these noble and great ones whom God has chosen and called into this work.   And after one once gets the full understanding of it he can never again lose it for he will be gathered into the Light and his understanding will continually be opened until he is completely filled with Light. And you are much closer to it than you think–that full unfolding.

When You can hold your awareness of that divine light, or be continually conscious of it without losing that contact for a moment and know that “you are abiding in it—and it is abiding in you,” you will be purified and cleansed from all sin. Just holding the consciousness of this divine Light of Christ in your mind without a break will bring it forth to fill your being, cleanse out all darkness, and purify your soul.

We all want perfection before we earn it.   We want power without having fully qualified to receive it. We want to be filled with Light, even the fullness of Light without having prepared ourselves to receive it, because the vision of these things is so glorious that it is difficult for us to wait for the perfecting of our bodies.  Yet, if we receive these glorious things our souls crave without the complete perfection, we would be consumed by the Light and blinded by the glory. It is so necessary that we learn to exalt these bodies by obedience, by love, by the Spirit of Peace and by training them through perfect love to hold and contain Light.  We should be so grateful for the vision God has given to us, and for the keys of fulfilling it that none of us should be too impatient, yet if we were not anxious, we could not really progress so fast.

BE STILL AND KNOW

Study constantly D&C 50:26-29  ‘He that is ordained of God and sent forth, the same is appointed to be the greatest, not withstanding he is the least and the servant of all.  Wherefore, he is the possessor of all things: for all things are subject unto him, both in heaven and on earth, the life and the Spirit and the power, sent forth by the will of the Father through Jesus Christ his Son.   But no man is possessor of all things except he be purified and cleansed from all sin.  And if ye are purified and cleansed from all sin, ye shall ask whatsoever you will in the name of Jesus and it shall be done.  Study this until it is embedded into every cell and fiber of your being. These are not just words. These are reality.  These things are yours if you desire them–power to rule in heaven and on earth–power to command light and life, which is vibration–power to command the very Spirit and use the divine power of the Almighty not in some vague way, or far off time–but as you walk this earth as a child of God.  These things are true.  I stand in such humble awe before this work.  Study and pray until your life becomes a living prayer of praise and glory.  Worship and adore until your life becomes a living melody–hold to light until you become the light.

These books contain the highest culture that is possible to attain.  It is the culture that will prepare us to associate with Christ when He comes, not as groveling servants, but with dignity and poise.  It is the culture that will give us the power to associate with Celestial beings, not as inferiors, but as equals. This is the culture of Gods and of angels. It is ours, for God has bestowed these truths upon us, as we will use them.

Remember, the gifts of the Spirit are joy, peace, love. light, happiness, etc.  This is true.  As you are more and more aware of the Spirit of the Lord, and as you draw closer and closer to you, and in you, these great, unspeakable gifts, they will become realities in your life.  They are beautiful and glorious beyond expression.  They are not just words.  They are realities. Then you may ask about the scripture contained in the New Testament and in 3 Nephi 9:20 and D&C 59:8, where it says that from there on the only acceptable sacrifice to God is a broken heart and a contrite spirit.  It seems to be quite contradictory to the Gospel of Light and joy, and the words that God loves a cheerful countenance and the songs of the heart.  Then in the New Testament Apocrypha comes the correct explanation–it says that from then on God would require a contrite Spirit and a cleft or open heart.  A heart open to the love and light and Spirit of God.

Christ says, “I am meek and lowly in heart.”  Behind almost every passage of scripture is veiled such priceless treasures of living glory.  When we reach the place in our hearts that is truly meek and lowly, or humbly loving, we will find the point where Christ’s Spirit can enter, and from thenceforth He will abide in us–or His divine Spirit of glory.

Joseph Smith said we must get the POWER  before we can go forth to teach. We must get the power before we perform any of the ordinances–and according to the Book of Mormon, everything we do is vain without that power.

If I could only give you the complete vision of your own importance, you would never again doubt or fear.  All power is already in Your hands, but it is not subject to you until you reach out to take hold of it and use it.

It is yours. You are divine.  You can live as Christ lived, and within you is also the power of life that no one can take it from you, if you will just understand. The whole concept is so far beyond anything we have before contemplated that it is difficult to get it thoroughly into ones system right away. There is so very much–and as Your eyes open, every moment will become a glory and a privilege.  Life becomes a joy of ecstasy and our vibrations blend into the vibrations of the Holy Spirit. and all things fit into their proper place.  Sorrows fly away and one walks in power and majesty, for one then walks with God.

When we can become sufficiently silent and humble to hear His voice, it will be audible to us at all times, and we will do nothing except He giveth it to us to do.  We will speak only His word, for the Holy of Holies is in our own souls, and is where His Eternal Laws are engraved.  We must learn to listen and to read.

It is the first and great commandment that gives one the power to “be still, and know that I am God.’  Or in other words, quiet those worried, distracted, confusing, heartbreaking thoughts that can only destroy, and let that Divine Light of Christ step forth and begin to work out a pattern of glory and beauty and joy and fulfillment.  Every person on this earth has the right to contact God personally, through that divine light within their own souls, and as they abide in it consciously, they will bring it forth in greater power, and become aware that it abides in them.  They can turn to it always for strength, for guidance, to find peace and comfort or to be directed in every word, in every act, and in every achievement.   If it is thus relied upon, trusted in and brought forth, it becomes such a breathtaking power of dynamic unspeakable help that all mortal efforts seem but a failure and a transgression beside it.  And then one recognizes it as the very power of heaven that is right within.  It is truly the pearl of great price which a man sold all that he had in order to purchase it.  It is the treasure that is hidden in a field, which a man sought to purchase. It is more valuable than all the wealthy of earth.   No earthly treasures can ever compare with it.  It is glory, it is light, it is knowing, it is joy–and soon it is developed right within man until he becomes it–and thus he has reached the “Atonement’ or at-one-ment.”

Remember these great and holy gifts already abide in you. Lift up your head and give thanks for them, love them, rejoice in them always and bring them forth that they will begin to do the works.   Your days of struggling and striving have been but to purify your heart, mind and soul so that you could be worthy abodes of His glory.  These are the things I not only believe, but the things I KNOW

In Joseph Smith’s Teachings page 322, if states:  “Those holding the fullness of the Melchizedek Priesthood are Kings and Priests of the Most High God,  holding the keys of power and blessings.   Whereas now they are only anointed to become such.” And when they are called up to become Kings and Priests unto the most High God the women will be called up in their own right to become Queens and Priestesses.  And until they have received the ordination which only God can give, none have made their calling and election sure, for in reality they have only been anointed to become holders of the priesthood of Almighty God. Its fullness is the contact with the very power of God, when all things are subject unto one. No man is truly honoring his priesthood at the present time–for honoring it would he using its powers without limit.

All on earth I am trying to do is to teach mankind that it is possible for every child of God to be so in tune with Him and His Holy Spirit that they can be directed in all that they do–in all that they say–that their lives can become a melody of living glory as they learn to abide completely and fully in His Holy Spirit.  It is such a breathtaking glory every moment of every day that it is almost unspeakable in its power.

These gifts of the Spirit are far more real than any jewels of this earth–they are a million times more powerful–and when you are completely prepared, the Bridegroom will come to you–and your efforts will no longer be wasted, but every thought will bear fruit unto the Lord, and your way will be one of lighted glory.  And the anointing of the Father will be yours

Yes, my dear, when one has taken upon himself the Name of Jesus Christ, and has received his anointing of Light, then He must use that Light and that power at all times–the old mortal self must be left behind–and he becomes the Light which he has perfected within himself. And remember, Christ is the door that leads to the Father.

As you vibrate with this Light and joy and peace that comes only through the power and Spirit of God, all things will become harmonious in your life. Peace, the great gift of God to the world at the birth of His dearly beloved Son will be established unto you–peace eternal–peace with all its associate blessings of joy and light and power and goodness and understanding.  Let no vibration but love and peace ever go out from you.  Hold yourself within this Light of His enfolding Spirit, which is always peace and joy and Light, and you will soon have the power to abide in it always–then you will KNOW that IT abides in you–forever and forever–and all power will be given unto you, both in heaven and on earth, the life and the light, the Spirit and the power.  Such is the promise.

The Kingdom of God within, which Christ was always talking about, is that Light of Christ within yourself, that you must enthrone upon your consciousness, that you truly fulfill the prayer and the covenant of the Sacrament, that you always remember Him, that you will always have His Spirit to be with you–and it is this Light, and this Spirit that will fill you with Light as you bring it forth within you, until you can comprehend all things.  This Light and Life which will be subject unto you is the Light of Christ within you, as you develop it and bring it forth until you feel and know its glory, and hold yourself always and forever in that divine vibration of the Spirit of Almighty God so that no evil or darkness can come near you, or touch you, or disturb the deep eternal peace of the soul, but you will have complete control of the very powers of light and can send it out consciously to bless and heal and glorify all whom you contact and to help glorify a world.  This is the Light and the very gift of Life that will be given to you–the power to bring back to life withered limbs, broken bodies, injured minds.  Already you are beginning to do this, hut not yet with the full comprehension of the power you are using.

Next the Spirit and Power will be subject unto you–and all things both in heaven and on earth, and that is the Light, and vibrations that reach out to the very ends of eternity.  You will have the power to command this great, eternal, source of boundless energy, or substance or power that fills the entire universe—and this is FAITH, for this is the very substance of things hoped for, it is the substance out of which all tangible things are formed.

Know this, “He is under condemnation who rejecteth the Light,” and, “This is the Spirit of Christ that is given to lighteth every man that cometh into the world.”  It is glory.  It is Light.  It is power.  It is all that you will let it be to you as you lay hold of this most sacred of all gifts.  This sacred Holy Word of “Light” or “Christ” becomes flesh right within you as you bring it forth. Learn to relax.  Relax your bodies and your minds–and then learn to command every little cell and fiber of your being to “Be still and Know that I am God.” And the cells of your body will begin to obey for they are little brain cells of intelligence and soon in every fiber of your being you will be filled with this sacred light–and every atom and pore and fiber will know that power of contact with the Divine or to be exact, will become divine.

As you learn to fulfill these things I am sending to you, you will begin to live life more and more as Christ lived it.  You will be directed in everything you say and in everything you think. You will link hands with majesty and walk in power.  This knowledge is the very greatest I can possibly give you.  Beyond this point you must travel in the Light that Christ gave to you.  From here on we each must walk according to the Light given to us, from within, by the power of Jesus Christ.

It has been a great and a glorious privilege to help you to find this one great truth.  The books I have written, the things I am endeavoring so hard to teach are only to lead you to this on great,  sacred bit of knowledge that will  lead each of you personally into ALL truth. From here on the road is yours. Follow it’  Glorify it.  Rejoice in it.  Magnify it.  And worship and adore and praise and live continually in the Light–the very Light of Christ.  Thank Him for it.  This greatest of all Gifts is now in your hands.  Only he whose hands are clean, whose mind is pure, whose heart is filled with love, and who is so endowed with humility that the self and its desires no longer matter, can receive of it.  Even your intense desire to fulfill these great laws of perfection must be slowly blended into the one great and holy desire. That His will be Done in All Things.  Then will you know His will, for you will hear His voice, as Christ heard it–yea, at all times and in all things.   From here on your prayer should become more according to this pattern—“Almighty God, let only your will be done, and your name be glorified forever and ever in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.”  More and more that will be the only thing that matters in your lives. All personal desires will be submerged to this glorious, divine desire–the Will of God.  And from here on you will begin to walk in glory.

Glorify this Light of Christ within you and it will glorify you. It is the greatest of all jewels. This is the seal or Light of God that must be placed upon the heads of the righteous before His work can be consummated, according to Revelations.  And each man must truly take this Light, bring it forth from within his own soul, and crown himself with it, or gather it as knowledge unto his conscious mind, where it can become an everlasting power in his own life.

OVERCOMING DARKNESS

The testimony you received concerning the truth of these higher laws is definitely true, though it came through Lucifer, for you may be sure he would not be so determined for you to forget them unless they were against the darkness of his kingdom. And as Christ said, “He does not fight against himself and his own works.”  I understood completely the threat he made against you, and realized that he will do everything in his power to injure those who take upon themselves the responsibility of completely seeking to fulfill all the laws of righteousness.  Every step toward light Satan has fought with all his power since time began. But this you must understand, when Lucifer is against you, Christ is for you, for you will definitely be fighting against Lucifer to establish Light and Truth.  As a rule he does not fight in the open, but in subtle, underhanded ways, seeking mostly to remain hidden.  Then it is more difficult to fight against him and his overwhelming powers of darkness. You may be sure that his threats were not idle nor empty.  He will do all in his power to fulfill them.

But for you there will be no victory unless you have the faith and the courage to stand up against him and the powers of darkness which he holds.   Every person who is seeking to fulfill these higher laws of perfection will be fighting shoulder to shoulder beside you–and you will never be fighting alone for whatever you accomplish will be a victory for Christ and for every individual engaged in bringing forth perfection–even as the things which we accomplish will also be shared by you.  We are to fight darkness and everything for which Lucifer stands.  We are called to help rend the veil of darkness that Light might shine through, and vision and understanding of the great “Mysteries of Godliness.”  And you may be assured that when it is completed Lucifer will lose his power.  Yes, it will take courage and faith, I, too have seen Lucifer and his legions.  I have fought for my life against them as they battled against me. And like I told him upon one occasion, “I shall live, and I shall fight you just as long as I live.” And if I should die, then I would die fighting against him and the darkness.  I have fought them in the even more difficult way in which they remain unseen and become more subtle in their tactics.

If you can fulfill the words of Ammon,  the great Nephite missionary, “And pray without ceasing, ” or “Let your incomings and your outgoings be in the Name of the Lord,” or as given in the D&C Sec. 6, “Turn unto God in every thought.” Lucifer can never touch you, for you will be clothed in the power of the Almighty. You can hold yourself so completely in that power through constant prayer that he can never approach you.  Learn to worship, praise, adore and glorify God with every breath of your life and you will help to weld the chain that will bind Lucifer.  This is the work that is waiting for those with the courage and the vision to fulfill it.  It will not be easy, for it is a training of discipline that penetrates into the inner fibers of one’s very soul.  And when you have freed yourself completely from the shackles of darkness, then it will be given to you to help rend this veil of darkness for others.

Thus as you praise and adore and worship God, you draw His powers to you, and your strength will be increased.  With all the understanding of your soul seek to fulfill every teaching of Jesus Christ, and pray always the Lord’s prayer, “Deliver us from all evil.”

When you understand completely the full meaning of that prayer, you will love it with all your soul.  Pray it often.  Let Love for God breathe forth from every cell of your body, let your heart be filled with it, let it glorify every thought of your mind–send it forth with the same degree of intensity that one uses in sending forth discord and confusion.

We loved that humble prayer expressed in your letter, that with tears in your eyes, and your heart ready to burst you prayed that God would accept you to be His servant, and to my mind came the words given to Daniel, a man greatly beloved, “understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright; for unto thee am I now sent.”  And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.  Then said he unto me, “Fear not, Daniel; for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before God, thy words were heard and I am come for thy words.”

Keep your eyes on the Light, and soon you will know it is there, and will be able to abide in it.   Never look at your weaknesses, for if you do you will be filled with fear.  Remember, fear and darkness must be overcome before one is filled with Light.  Therefore look only to the light.  Keep a song of praise and glory and devotion singing in your soul.  Begin to feel this light within you, and as you turn your attention to it you will begin to feel it vibrate in your soul, thus it is developed and brought forth to full maturity until it fills your being and you are “Anointed with Light and comprehend all things.”  As you continue to look into the Light, to abide in it, to thank God for it and to feel  its everlasting power, it will be as though your weaknesses begin to drop away like old, soiled clothing.  Never pick them up and hold them–go on and leave them behind.

What shall I say?   I have no words to express the great relief your letter brought.  I held it in my hands and wept for joy.  I know so perfectly what you have been going through, comprehending the deep cloud of darkness which has clothed the legions of Lucifer who have tried to stop you.  This we have known, that you would come through it strengthened, for we know that you are God’s noble and great ones, and that He has a very important work for you to do, and that He is permitting you to be tried in the fires to prepare you more quickly and more speedily.  Lucifer had already challenged you and God permitted the wall to be lowered that he could try you, and so greater blessings could then be bestowed.  Whenever there is a very great work it seems that Lucifer always comes first and puts in his bid, or tries with all his powers to stop it.

This is the subtle way I warned you that he would work in order to fulfill his threat. “Doubting is of the devil. Despair, fear, anguish,  unhappiness and darkness are all of the devil.”  Everything that is not of joy and faith and gladness and glory and Light is of the devil, and whenever these influences have hold upon you, you may be assured that it is the powers of the Nether Regions seeking to destroy you. You may not be able to see them, therefore cannot punch back, can do nothing tangible, but as you lift your voice in praise and worship and adoration to God, they will flee from you. Light has to grow gradually else we can be consumed with it.   You were too eager to fulfill it before you were fully prepared to contain such Light.

Oh, yes,  I do know how you felt.   I know how literal this battle with darkness is–and how terribly important.  I know that each individual who catches this divine vision and begins to battle against darkness, is battling not for himself, but for every individual upon the earth, for Christ, for freedom, for truth, and to help rend the very veil of darkness over the minds of men.  And, therefore, no one is fighting just for himself in this work, but is standing shoulder to shoulder to help overcome darkness, and if one fails, his place in the ranks stands open, and then others have to carry a double burden to hold against the enemy of man and God.  It is just that important.

You have learned a very great and important lesson.  You say that you will never try to force the spirit again, or be too anxious.  That is so wonderful.  You were like a very eager little boy who wanted to free the butterfly from its cocoon, but in seeking to free it before its time, robbed it of the power of flight.  Unless it is freed from within, by its own power, it can never soar above the shrubs and fields.  Or it is like an eager child wishing to see the color of the rose in its bud and strips off those protecting, enfolding green coverings to find only colorless, unglorified substance huddled in a weak little massy pulp.  Such is man as he begins to reach, to desire, to fulfill.  It cannot be rushed.  It cannot be hurried.  Every little cell and fiber of one’s being must be carefully trained and prepared to hold and carry light.  The old tissues of darkness must be renewed in the unfolding Light which grows even as a child grows within the mother.   That is what Christ meant when He said, “You must love this kingdom of heaven as a little child, or you can never enter it.” You must truly love it as though it were a divine, holy child maturing within your own soul.  Force it into visibility before its time and you will destroy it.  This is that Light of Christ within you which must be brought forth through a conscious awareness of it, through a deep reverence, and the perfection of love.  And then as it matures, it gradually fills your being, and you become filled with Light, or are “Anointed with Light” and will be given power to comprehend all things.  Remember always, patience must have her perfect work.   The very developing of patience is a part of the perfection which one progresses into.

Eternity is the ever present NOW. The past and the future are mortal concepts of time. You wanted it fulfilled soon–next week–within a month–and as you grabbed on to this element of time, you could not possibly take hold of the elements of eternity where time is not.  Forget the time element.  Live every moment in the great glory of this perfect love, this Holy Spirit of Light maturing within you–and learn to listen to its voice, and none other. Believe nothing I tell you unless the voice within bears witness of it.  Believe nothing anyone else says unless that same Spirit bears witness of it. And know that the way to first recognize that divine voice is through its whisperings of peace.  That is the first gift of the Spirit.  You must learn to listen to that inner voice of peace.   Whenever there is one disturbing thought, or vibration, or word, or idea that troubles or distresses you, turn instantly into that inner depth of your own soul, and let this Light of Christ whisper its eternal divine message of peace—then you will be prepared to hear its voice in other things, and at all times, and thus you will grow to understand the divine language of God.  It may be first only that inner peace, that joy that grows into a song of eternal praise, a vibration, a thought and so on until you will learn to Listen to that divine voice at all times, and thus only is it possible to grow into perfection.  And again let me say it is not done by straining, but by training—by training your physical mind to “be still and know I Am God.” Quiet the outer activities of the mind in order that the soul may hear.

Just know that whenever there is a moment of worry, anxiety, strain, unhappiness, impatience or distress it is not of God.  Then stop striving, and let every little cell and fiber of your being relax–growing calm and still, and then and then only can the Spirit take over.  As long as the mortal mind is taking the lead and running off with the show there is only great distress in store.

When you mentioned that you had rid yourself of all self-pity and all hurts, I realized that you have traveled much farther than you yourself could possibly realize.  The hurts that cling to one through the days, the weeks– and on down the years are the powers of darkness, the very mud of the earth that blind the mind and seal the heart to the light and joy of the Spirit of Almighty God.

The very finest and most sincere ones may gain strength and courage and deeper understanding through contacting each other. Everyone will have to realize that he is treading on holy ground–and perfect love, true humility and constant prayer tread this highway of eternal Light until the doors to the kingdom of tight will be opened wide to all who will walk therein.

But I realize also that there will be opposition from the powers of darkness and only perfect love, deep humility and constant prayer can give one the power to walk safety–AND IF ONLY ONE SHOULD FAIL there could be such deep distress follow for all.  The greatest persecution that has been predicted will be from among the Saints themselves.  That can hurt so much more than anything else–and it is only as we tread on holy ground, holding always to His Spirit that we can travel at all.  As you send forth love with all your power, and there are those who determinedly resist it–and the spirit of Love and Light that bears it forth, they will destroy themselves unless they change.

I believe in every promise of God.  I believe that life was meant to be a glorious experience of achievement and progress, not a drab, ugly thing of sickness, heartache and failure.  I believe that all things are possible to those who believe on the Name of Jesus Christ, just because He said so–and it has been with that faith I have found the literal fulfillment of all His promises. How truly Christ spoke when He said, “Come unto me all ye who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.” And according to the D&C 84:44-47, that rest is the “fullness of His glory.”  But the problem is learning to find Him–learning how to make that divine contact that is so necessary to receive a fulfillment of the promises.

I can understand so clearly just how you feel–the great load of darkness that is trying to destroy you–and I know how terribly difficult it is to bear–and I know how easy it is to overcome–and the great glory of the Light beyond the darkness that is weighing upon you.  Come travel this divine Highway of Light with us.
